  1. I've just been on Apple's Movie Trailer site and spotted a film called 'Pirate Radio'... "Ooo" I thought "Bit of a coincidence" as I've just seen 'The Boat That Rocked' this week. Then I read the write-up, and it's the same film...... "So they must of changed the title for the US market!" I also thought. So i watched it just to see, and it's not the only thing they've changed...... I tell you what, I wont describe it, just take a look for yourselves and see what I mean ;)...... http://www.apple.com/trailers/focus_features/pirateradio/
  2. I have sent him a PM on your behalf................. Dave
  3. Hi dave, as already mentioned, it's either the dett or passenger o2.... Looky here, might be of help..... dett at the rear, o2 in front of it! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=207433&postcount=2
  4. It's nothing new, Lincolnshire have used marked AND unmarked fast saloons for years. 3 & 4 door Cosworths (in their day) and more recently Scoobys, and not always with uniformed offices.
  5. What Wattage of red bulb did you use? Also what type did you fit?
  6. But saying that, if you got one from the link I posted earlier it'll work in the correct configuration for you anyway.
  7. Well I'm no boffin on the subject, just what I already know, so I'll ask one of my collegues here at work, who know about these things, and see what they say.
  8. It should have Four connections on it. I'll explain (not trying to 'Teach Granny to Suck Eggs!') An inverter works on the following principle; You start with the DC of 12v+ve and 12v-ve inputs, this is then inverted (not to be confused with Transformer/Rectified, as that is for the other way - AC to DC) into AC of 110v+ve and 110v-ve which will power the Electroluminescent panel. So basically you need two inputs AND two outputs for it to work. Take the old inverter out and examine it, as one of the wires could of snapped clean off. HTH Dave
  9. Try this thread, it may be of use to you!! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=129598 HTH Dave And yes from your photo your inverter is fooked! You can see that the casing has buldged outward, a classic case of it's gone 'Tits-Up'!! ;) They are also known as 'Rear Center Panels' here as well :D
  10. Well let me be the first to admit that I'm wrong then. This info beats the previous info that I had on good authority, so fair-do's. And Brian Long is a well established motoring journalist for many years now, and has written quite a few books on the subject.
  11. HAPPY BIRTHDAY mate :duffer: :duffer: Only 24? Bloody hell, you had a real bad paper round didn't you!!
  12. HAPPY BIRTHDAY bud :duffer: :duffer: Hope you're having a good one :D 41
  13. What he was saying is what I'll try to describe below......... The two prong OEM plug (lower right of the photo below) ......... ...normally goes into the socket on the rear of the OEM nissan radio (socket is on the left of this picture)..... ...with the two cables coming out of the lower half of the plug and the single clip on the left of the socket. What he is suggesting is to turn the plug 180 degrees so that the cables come out of the top and the clip is on the right. Thus swapping the two prongs over!
  14. Should of gone to Specsavers!
  15. To be pricise the last model ('99 spec) were infact all made between late '98 and mid '99, then sold throughout '99 and '00
  16. The green 'gundge' on the electrical connectors can be cleaned off, but it's not alway 100% successful, you can also changed various connectors for either the same reason or because of the plastic going brittle. BUT the main reason for changing a full loom is simple because it's anything up to 20 years old and will probably be heat damaged by now and very brittle. Moving it around a lot can crack the individual cores within the loom, then you're going to have loads of problems!! Also, don't forget that if you buy one from the US they are ALL lefthand drive looms, so the ECU end will be the wrong side! This isnt a big problem simply because the 'tail' will go to the correct side for us, but will be quite a bit longer than is required, so you'll have to hide it somewhere!! HTH Dave
  17. FAQ >> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=117006
  18. Fair point, but I do have TWO fully working rear fogs, AND both rear illuminated side markers  (it's unique, the only one of it's kind) You never know..... I got the rear bumper for the price of a crate of amber nectar! ;) As for re-wiring, it's minimal. There is a Fog Lamp FAQ in the FAQ section with all the details you need HTH Dave
  19. You could always replace you JSpec bumper with a UK bumper......... Piece of cake!! ;)
  20. Well '89 and '99 were the first and last years of production, so we need the guys themselves to answer, and Craig David hasn't been on for a few months now. And I don't think we have anymore 99 spec guys who come on here (or if they do, then they don't post)
  21.   You mean you're tuning it into Lefthand Drive???!!!   ;)
  22. Here you go, I knew it was somewhere ;) Helpfull info........ http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.540
  23. I do believe we have an F reg (89) and a S reg (99) in the club. Not sure when either of them were first registered within the years though. And before anyone says it, I know there is a post 2000 Z32 here (53 I think) but that doesn't count because it's a DVLA f**k up ;)
  24. You just know how this thread is going to end up!!! ;)
