The window switches, that Si mentioned, are, the Air-Con is but the clocks etc aren't without a bit of surgery to the loom, due to different plugs on the rear. Also the different steering wheel is only transferable if you HAVEN'T got Cruise, as I'm told to have the extra stalk fitted you need a new, slightly longer, steering column fitted.

I've read that before, but no one has ever come with WHY!!

Mines been off the road since April 2008, although I did have to change the battery as it died on me completely earlier this year (had been in since I got it new in 2004), I start here now and again and she is fine anything up to five weeks apart sometimes as well. So it depends on the condition of the battery and whether you have the alarm switched on (excluding an automatic immobiliser, which wont affect it anyway) or the clock. So don't turn the alarm on, diss the clock and all should be well! Dave

Firstly they tend to be a random jumble of letters and numbers (although that's not always true), also if you go into their Profile you'll notice that their Location is always '1' and their Area is 'South East' or 'South Central'. There wont be any other details like Date Of Birth or any interests, just absolute basic info only. As for the other two you mention above, they'll show up as 'on-line' but it's only showing that a registered name was trying to access the site sometime in the last 15 mins or so, and doesn't mean that they are on-line and in the forum!

In that case I'll keep my ever-vigilent eye out for them :D

I'm sure the software can be tweaked in the registration section to stop it alltogether though, can't it?

Yep, it still loks like a nice idea. You keep the convenience of the Auto with the function of the manual. Would seriously consider this conversion, but would defo need to be convinced by driving one before shelling out that sort of money ;) A future mod..... maybe :D

You can, but I've gota see if I can get it to work first. It was sold as working, but on testing when it arrived it wouldn't light up. The inverter works properly and gives out a nice 110v, but no light :( May be a case of having to take it apart and see if there is anything I can do with it, but I wont be happy if I find out it's fooked!

I'm glad you're sorted, it's straight forward to fit just needs soldering and insulating once it's done. The wires that come from your lighting circuit (number plate lamps maybe?) will go to the 12v side and the ones that go toward your panel will be the side marked 'EL'. Don't get the input 12v wires the wrong way round... the positive MUST go to the + and the Negative MUST go to the -, otherwise it wont work. The output wires don't matter, as they'll work both ways round. Incidentally I've got two of the genuine Green panels, and once I get the latest one working I may consider selling it complete :D

As far as I'm aware... not a lot :D Apart from the fabric on the panels, the Air-Con control was changed, the dash clocks surround was changed, ie; more indication lamps were placed next to the dials and removed from either side of the steering column (although they still left the original locations, but with blank lenses), the steering wheel changed/addition of a second stalk for the Cruise Control........................ Now I'm really trying to rack my brains as to anything else that was changed. As for fitting a later interior into an older shell, I don't see why not, don't think anything was changed there as far as fittings are concerned. HTH Dave
