Meningitis......
Sorry guys & gals, no jokes here tonight, just my thoughts. Meningitis. You don't hear much about it these days on the news. And probably most of you may even think it's been wiped out altogether. Well it hasn't, it's still out there. For some reason it doesn't seem to be on the news as much as it was ten years or so ago. There is still research going on to wipe it out totally, but it hasn't been achived just yet. Yes they do have vacines for Meningococcal Group C, Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib) & Pneumococcal, but that isn't all the different types of it. I started to copy and paste a section from the web site, but then all you have to do is click the following link. For the full story please go to http://www.meningitis-trust.org/index.php If you have children of any age, just do them a favour, you never know it might be the best one you could ever do. Groups at risk are young children, teenages, and the elderly. If this upsets or offends anyone having it here, then I offer NO appoligies for this, because................. My daughter would have been ten today, I would have been celerbrating her birthday with her................. Instead I was placing a basket of flowers on her grave, like I have done for the last seven years. She contracted Meningococcal septicaemia in May 1997, she passed away less than a day later. I don't blame anyone other than myself, but if I could just help prevent just one death, then I would be a little happier. Thank You for reading this.

eBay & PalPay e-mail scam
Have just received this from a friend, and thought it was worth posting on. "Just a word of warning about bogus emails I received an email yesterday from Paypal giving details of a transaction I had 'supposedly' made ( $278.99 for an item I had not ordered) and underneath it said: "If you did not authorize this payment or if you need assistance with your account, please contact PayPal customer service at: ....." ...It displayed a clickable link (which i did not click) This link then asks you to verify your username and password. Please be aware of these bogus emails, I've also had them from e-bay asking me to click the link to verify my details or my account will be suspended. If you do receive email from either of these companies they will NEVER ask you to give personal details. The best way to check is to open a new browser window and type in the URL. Please be aware"

Yep, 'THEY' are OK on engines, as long as you treat them with respect, bit like any other engine. Treat one like sh1te, and you don't deserve to own one :D They are quite firsty on fuel apparently though. Link to their owners club HERE A friend of mine used to be a member, said they were very helpfull. HTH

Limiter question?
Mine shows 120 on the clock when mine comes in, so I think there is a bit of difference between cars. I'm running UK spec clocks, and am going to have the ECU chipped, that way it'll get rid of the limiter properly. Currently all you have is a converter from KMH to MPH, and not the de-limiter. Having the ECU chipped sorts this out, but you'll need UK spec clocks. Have a word with AndyP, he'll sort it out for you. HTH Oh, and Robert, with 200 posts under your belt, and owning a Zed, subscribe mate, as you are getting the benifit of others :D

MOT tomorrow.................
Brought my zed on 29th December 2003, with eleven months of ticket still on it.................... So it's about due it's MOT. 08:30 TOMORROW MORNING Wish me luck guys 'n gals :D........................ PLEASE One thing I know that'll probably fail, is the headlamp aim, as I never did get it checked out after I took them all apart. It's had four new tyres this year, a new SS zorst, new rear sus struts. There's no rust around the front sus mountings, it seems rust free underneath. All the lights work properly, seat belts are fine. The only other thing that is bothering me is that, when the engine gets warmed up, then it doesn't run very well, and I'm worried if this may affect the emissions test  Anyway, i'll report back the good or bad news sometime tomorrow.

who remembers......
Evil Edna, from Willo the wisp. "Evil Edna Evil Edna is the wicked television witch who takes pleasure in performing ghastly tricks and jokes on the poor creatures of Doyley Woods. She uses her aerial to beam her nasty spells at people. She once turned a beautiful Prince into the Beast. She is selfish and vain, and is often teaching someone a lesson for their 'own good'. She calls Mavis 'fat', the Moog 'stupid' and she doesn't like Arthur. She has some feelings as she once fell in love with a BBC newsreader." The title/naration voice over was done by the great Kenneth Williams. "Nick Spargo first conceived the idea of Willo the Wisp in 1977 and, when it was first broadcast on BBC1 in 1981, it was an immediate hit. Designed and written specifically with the pre-news 5.35.p.m. programming slot in mind, the series though aimed at the 5-9 age group, actually appealed to a much wider audience and was able to reach them. Indeed Willo The Wisp was so popular that it reached no 44 in the general BARB charts with peak viewing of 8.2 million (delivering slightly more than Jewel in the Crown and only slightly less than Benny Hill). It also remained at No.2 in the children's charts for many weeks. In later years it was repeated on Channel 4 in the 6 o'clock slot along with other classics such as The Magic Roundabout and The Clangers." Extracts taken from http://www.stopmessinabout.co.uk/

As Stevo said, just two 10mm bolts then it lifts out, quite simple, not sure how easy it would be to swap over the badges though. HTH
