  1. My 2p worth now ;) Only driven 4x4's for work, but used them both on and off road, so here goes; Land Rover - Used three with my previous employer, and broke all three!!!! :D1) Snapped timing belt/chain(?), 2) Snapped front drive shaft!!, 3) Had a puncture, and it damaged the gear box (somehow!!) Now my new employer has brought one, they are cramped, slow (on-road) and generally sh1te (IMHO) Cherokee Jeep - Very out dated, but not a bad ride. Off-road, quite good and on-road reasonable. Access to the rear seats is crap though, especially if you've been off-road, as the wheel arch section within the rear door gets all mudded-up, so when your passengers get in, it is almost impossible to avoid getting your clothes mucked-up!!! Mitsubishi Pajaro - Pile of shite!!!(IMHO) Comfortable, but crappy plastic dash, very noisey on-road, rear seat accomodation was very tight and general feel was that it 'wallowed' around on the road! Toyota Hi-Lux - What can I say, totally brilliant!!! More like driving a car, nice driving position and good all round userness! I drove the double-cab version for about three months, at work and to and from work (very usefull at home ;))
  2. Hers a pic of mine without a panel or spoiler on (now looking much better ;)) HTH
  3. Welcome back mate, from Karen and myself. Glad your back, and on the road to recovery. I'm sure you'll soon be back to your old self :D Take care mate, see you soon.
  4. Taken from a previous post by myself, regarding fitting some JBL GTO525e's, that may be of use to you, or not ;)
  5. First of all these moulded/wrap-around type ARE OEM items, but they were available as a factory fit item, ie; chosen when you orded the Zed from the factory. The other type (flat plastic type) that are available from places like courtesy nissan, are whats called a 'dealer fit item', and are also OEM. These items dont become available very often, and I doubt that you would ever find a brand new set! The only item that I think is rarer than these items is the titanium 300ZX key blank!!!!! Good luck in your search though, keep looking, and a set will turn up when you least expect it. Have you tried 300zxclub.com , as thats the US site, certainly worth a try, if you get lucky saving on export/import duty and extra shipping etc. HTH
  6. Have a word with AndyZ, in the traders section. Thats where I got mine from, and every-so-often he advertises them in the 'For Sale' section. HTH............ And I agree with Gio on this, factory option only.

  8. Yep agree, it seems much like the old Skyline four door saloon (but they just happen to be making a two door coupe as well :( ) in the sense, that it didn't look all that good compared to the GTR/GTS versions. Lets hope that they, finally, decide on a decent styling for the new GTR. Which I beleive is due sometime 2005/06/07........... whenever they make their minds up :D lol
  9. This is the new Skyline 350GT Coupe (4 door sedan version also available) **ALL OTHER 'NEW' SKYLINES ARE ONLY CONCEPTS** (ie the new GTR-R35) Front view, available from one dealer only (as an official import, not Middlehurst, form around £30,000, 6 are available now) Rear view Yes this is the coupe two door, for all those that wanted a 2+2 350Z!! Dash,
  10. Dare I say it, but that looks more agresive looking than the 350, in fact I quite like it (awaits a toraide of abuse ;))
  11. mmmmmmmmm nice :D Have found these on the Jap web site as well, very nice resin kits....... 3500 Yen (£17.90) + Shipping. 5000 Yen (£25.58) + shipping. I would like to place an order with these people, but at £126 (^^those two + others) all in delivered (+ duty on top) I just cant not justify it (at the mo ;)) Never realised there were so many model kits of the Zed.
  12. Bloody Hell!!! How hot???????? Thats because it has to reach the proper temp, before it'll blow properly first. It is not reaching this before you are turning down the temp. ( I'm assuming this)
  13. To 'De-Fog' the windscreen pres the button with the the indication of a screen with bars going up through it - Top Left of pod. For normal operation, press the 'Auto' button (Top Right), set your desired temperature. The fan will run slowly untill that Temp is reached, then the fan speed will pick up and run fast (and loud!). If you wish to slow the fan down press the slow speed button (bottom left side), or to speed it up the button above (also on the side). If you wish to leave it to adjust the speed of the fan automatically, then de-press the button again (no light lite next to speed buttons). As for direction, the A/C directs it automatically (unless you have this indication on your pod, I'm assuming you havent). Once the temp is reached sufficientley, it will direct the air-flow to your feet. Rec is 'recirculation', ie- air-flow from recirculating the interior air (faster warm up) Eco, I cant remember for sure, but I think this warms up quicker, or somthing like that, but I'm at work at the mo so cant read my manual. Anyway, HTH.
  14. oooooppssssss, ;) never realised that, as it looked like someone had 'snipped' the glare guard bars off! But fair enough, lol :D
  15. Thanks Gio, will look into that :duffer: That look very nice indeed. 1:12 scale mmmmmmmmmm nice size :D £150 though, hmmmmm maybe not.
  16. While your at it, why not give this mod a try. When I took mine apart to replace the bulb, I thought about this, but found somone had already done it, saveing me a job :D But it is a nice, simple and easy job to do, well worth ten mins of your time.
  17. The only two times I've had to have screens replaced, has never affected my no-claims, as it's normally considered as a seperate part of your policy, although it is altogether (if you see what I mean?) Hope you get it all sorted mate.
  18. That's my bloody car!!!! ;) Is that Zed moving in the film then?? As if it isnt, then it looks like it's blocking a junction
  19. Dave, thanks very much for those links. :duffer: I'm currentley bidding on four models on eBay at the moment, and have put in a request to that Japanese site for a full cost including shipping, for a further 7 models. If the girlfriend finds out she'll kill me :D
  20. Yeah cheers mate :duffer: .... Just noticed that e-mail addy at the bottom of my PayPal receipt :mac1: Doh!!!!!! Have sent him an e-mail to both those addresses, lets hope I get some response.
  21. Thanks for the replies guys. But looking on his site there seems to be no e-mail option, on the contact bit there is a partial address and thats all!! But I will give 300zxclub.com a try though, certainley worth a go.
  22. Has anyone placed an order with these people recently??? I placed one two weeks ago, for the clear rear lenses, and put in the info box for them to let me know when it's been shipped. That was on the Friday (15th), and, so far, I've not heard anything from them  Bloody disgusting way to run a business, IMHO. Out of curtesy, you'd expect them to acknowledge your order and reciept of payment. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you in advance.
  23.     Cos, brilliant idea mate. Spot on
  24. Rich, Sorry mate, just realised I forgot to add my bit to this one :mac1: All the best mate, from myself and from Karen. Look after yourself, and get your arse back on here as soon as you can ;) Good luck mate
  25. Thanks for all of that Dave, am looking into it all now :D
