  1. My 'smoothed' boot cost a total of £100 from the bodyshop! That included all the prep work, filling (more than once, 'cus it didn't look right) and all the painting, including materials aswell. Quite a bargain I think :) Oh and it looks like I'll be going back again soon, as I beleive I may have a '99 bumper now :D   I'll be at JAPS at Thoresby Hall again next year, aswell as JAE again. Also try to keep up with the Midlands pub meets if I can.

I'll be there about 11:30ish, and will probably stay untill everyone starts to leave, as I've got nowhere to go till about 5 anyway :D Bloody typical, the only day I go out, and SHE'S at bloody work
  3. Here you go a LINK for one, £2.99 :D
  4. Sounds like a bit of a :xxx: to me, if he doesn't know this one ;) It's an adaptor that the 'Old' style plug will plug into and then will plug into your new head unit. Most car accessory shops will do these, including Halfords. But saying that, most new head units come with these in the box!! Anyway HTH :D Oh it'll set you back less than a fiver ;)
  5. Have a look at http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=6258 Worth a check.
  6. Hi mate, didn't want to clog-up Oneday's GB. As far as the smoothed boot look I like it very much. But if I'd known then what I know now, I would have kept the spoiler and put it back on top of the smoothed boot, think it would have looked very nice indeed. I'm currentley trying to locate (as I missed out yesterday, 'cus i was actually working for a change ;) ) a '99 spec bumper, as I've just fooked mine up  and along with a few other things I'm really looking forward to the next show season :D.................. And that should give you at least five months to get your spoiler on and painted ;) so get on with it :D  As a matter of interest, are you considering haveing it smoothed and putting the spoiler on? It would look very good :D EDIT ** Why has the title gone into lower case, when I wrote it all in caps?
  7. There are posts on here regarding this before, and they all seem to point to the earthing of your head unit, it should have it's own independent earth supply, and not to rely on a loom earth. It's quite a simple mod to to. It will show as a good earth with a meter, but under load it'll show the signs that your describing here. HTH
  8. From our Traders section, NE Performance, or PetrolHeads North West (to name a couple) Or from any Nissan dealer, or Courtesy Nissan in the USA, or Concept Z Performance (also in the USA) or even Z1 Motorsport (again in the USA) All the above would be new, or for used ones, try AndyZ also in the traders section. HTH
  9. NO, your lights are working correctley................ Well the same as mine anyway :D

Yeah, I had the same prob, so I moved it over a bit, now it looks crocked!!

Was the peice above the radio a little too long... mine was, if it's the same kit I just fitted. Also found that the bit to the right of the stearing wheel looks odd, think it should have a bit more on it's left side into the steering column?!
  12. But the weekend isnt over yet ;) :nono:
  13. Carrying on from my earlier post regarding headlamps, I've come across this post through aus300zx.com regarding the headlamp adjusters. It's actually about dis-assembling the headlamp unit, but if you scroll half way down the page you'll see a good idea for fixing your broken adjusters. http://www.aus300zx.com/tech/headlight_disassembly/headlight_disassembly.htm Anyway, HTH
  14. I've got to admit that I do like it, TBH it makes it look OEM, if you see what I mean. Think the gold one above shows this off quite well. I'm not into 'Let's colour code everything', but it leaves enough of the black to make it a subtle mod, that unless you knew already, you would think it was there from the factory (IMO). Hmmmm might do this as I've just had a bulb blow, and I cant release the fookin clip to get the old one out, so I'm gona have to take the whole lamp unit out of the car  just for a bulb ffs!
  15. They sound like a right bunch of :xxx: 's to me. Shame you didn't go with them when they went back to 'Sort' your ariel out, as they cant stop you watching anything they do to your car.
  16. What do you guys recon? Was just having a look through 300zxclub.com, and came across this.... Now I'm not puting down Cos's chrome ones, as I like them very much indeed, but thought that with HID lamps fitted, the chrome wouldn't be required.
  17. That looks like a nice peice of kit to have, and I've got a spare appature below my head unit :D So where did you find the pic Dave?
  18. Ammar, I'm sorry to hear of your problems, and agree with everyone else regarding contacting the CC company, and the police. As far as City Link, I've never had any problems with these people here in Grantham, as their office is not too far from my door, I have no problems picking anything up. But at the end of the day you are in the hands of the delivery driver.
  19. Thats the problem, I was reading the aftermath of this and had missed the 'Nitty-Gritty' of what went on today. But 'Hey-Ho', thats life :D
  20. Does this mean we can do today all over again? :D ooooooo I might get to see that thread that got rather interesting again........ what you recon Andy?????? ;) EDIT** Someone is still a registered user, instead of being BANNED!!!! Good work on getting it all up and running again Mike
  21. The '99 front bumper and rear lights would be nice, but don't supose anyone will buy them for me  So in that case, it's already had all it's going to get this year then. And what a first year of ownership it's been    :duffer: :D
  22. Sorry, haven't got any pics of her :D
  23. I bet it's not a one peice casting :D
  24. Happy Birthday mate, have a few :duffer: on me :D
  25. Heres a few to be going on with :D HTH
