  1. I'm off untill the 4th. But then I'm only off so that I can do the service on the Zed. And if anyone is bored and needs somthing to do, help is always appreciated in giving me a hand :D :duffer:  as I'm about 1/3 of the way through the cam belt change :smash: , still got to finish this, then got a bit of wiring to sort out yet. It looks like it won't be back on the road just yet. :(
  2. It's all here :D Your avator needs to be a maximum of 100 x 100 pixels, if you have any probs reducing a pic, let me have it and I'll do it for you.
  3. For your signature look here And for your rides section look here HTH
  4. Nope, there is a guy who lives near my girlfriend who has a dark grey one that also has the 300ZX in big letters down the side. But I've forgotten his name :slap:, as he is a member on here. Don't think he posts much here, but I'll find out. :D
  5. I know what you mean Paul ;)
  6. They were just totally rusted!! Considering that the water pump and other bits have been replaced in the past, I'm very surprised as to how rusted these are. Anyway, after another break, and a little norishment, I've had another go at them, and they are now out, with a little gentle tap :smash: :smash: !! ;)Looks like a trip to my local Nissan dealer to get some replacements. Timing belt is now off, the next job is to get the inlet cam sprocket off  Thanks for all your help, much appreciated
  7. As in above diag. I cant see them wotjout the use of a mirror, so drilling them doesn't seem much of an option at the mo. Antmore sugestions? TIA
  8. Thanks guys. Yeah I forgot to say that it's an auto  Have sorted it now, my dad came up and sugested that we brace a piece of wood against the pulley, and then hit the T bar with a mallet..... that did the trick :D Bolt out, and pulley off, now I have another problem............. I have three rusted and seized bolts holding the lower cam belt cover. So I cant get at them to remove the cover..... any ideas??? TIA again.
  9. As above, I'm totally stuck, I just cant seem to find the best way to release it. I've read through the service manual, and I don't wana remove the starter motor, I've got the print out of the 60K Service Schedual, and cant seem to work out how he says that you wrap one of the belts around the rear of the pulley, and onto the bracket of the alternator!? So if anyone knows of a better way, please let me know, otherwise this is a job stopper at the mo. Thanks in advance.
  10. Looking at pages EL 46 & 47 of the Service Manual, it seems that it'll still work normally if you pull or dissconect the 'Dim-Dip Lamp Control Unit'. Looks to me that the headlamps will still work as they should. HTH
  11. Some more pics, before the leather seats were fitted. And with the old red piping, now removed (thank fook :x: )
  12. I cut all the panels out from one large sheet. It's quite easy, but I'd sugest using somthing like EVO-Stick for the glue. I used a spray fabric adhesive, and although it's held over the majority of the panels, it isn't brilliant. Have a look at SMW1's (Stu  ) site HERE, that'll give you a very good idea of how to do it all. And don't worry about being a newbie, we all were one day :D, welcome aboard. ;)
  13. Yep, although my panels are PVC, but you get the idea. But I don't like it, and am changing it to Dark red leather, hopefully this coming year.
  14. Thanks :D Yep, borrowed one from work, bloody great big long legged one, hope it'll fit. Smithy very nicley sent me a spare set, so that I could send them upto my bodyshop, and have those ones sprayed, so that when I do the job, I'll just send the old ones back to him. What a top bloke  I would have had Smithy do me a set, but as he's gone off to get married, they would never have been here in time. Powersteering pump? Didn't realise I had to move it, didn't think it was in the way, well it'll be fun :D If I have time, and if I remember  , I'll try and take some pics of bits 'n bobs, just incase anyone wants to see various things, or even for any 'How To's' Anyway, Merry Christmas to you all. :nana2:  :nana2:
  15. All of this lot is, intended, to be fitted to the Zed next week! I'm all on my own, except Monday/Tuesday when Karen is coming round for moral support, coffee making, fetching the spanner when I chuck it across the garden ;) and generally to keep me company. I just hope that I haven't bitten off more than I can chew  Full list - Cam Belt, Water Pump, Tensioner, All associated bits 'n bobs, 3 x Belts, Thermostat, All Injector Connectors, All Coil Pack Plugs (Plug only), ECU Temp Sender & Connector, Shrimpy PURPLE Grounding Kit, :D www.groundingkits.co.uk APEXi Induction Kit, DTA HID Lights Kit, Outlander Motorsport Also install the newly painted engine BLING :D and move the PTU next to the air filter, hence the tape (proper harness tape). A few other bits arn't here yet, but that'll give me somthing to do in January :D
  16. Last night I opened these pics up, to find a young lady ( ) with a Z33 (350) This morning I've opend up this thread, and found two satilite photos of Tokyo!!! And they are ****ing huge!!!! Me thinks a little hacking has gone on somwhere ;) :nono: And there certainley is no point in using the :ttiwwop: smilie
  17. That same zed also appears in Vol 2 aswell! :D (Didn't think Vol 2 was anywhere near as good as 1, IMHO)
  18. The Top Film Cars is coming aswell :D You are probably correct, I couldn't remember, and as they both look the same (well almost ;) ) :x:
  19. How about these then?, because they work for me ;)
  20. 4 - Reliant Regal Van... Only Fools & Horses 3 - Ford Toreno...AKA Starsky & Hutch 2 - Camero..... Knightrider & .. ... ... ... ... ... 1) Dodge Charger - Dukes Of Hazard
  21. The thing is though, the Super-Bug is being sorted out, by the introduction of (re-introduction of ;) ) better cleaning etc in hospitals, and this is a relativley new problem that has apperared since taking these sorts of services away. And there is little we can do, apart from making sure that, when visiting paitients in hsopital, we make sure that we take these measures. Lack of sleep? Well this can only be combated in the way that they have been doing for a long time now, up and down the motorways in this country, and that is those signs by the motorway side............. What else can you do? And as for being 'Bombarded' with the Don't Drink 'n Drive message, well it obviously isn't working on you, is it? Yes I do agree with you when you say that there are other things that kill more prople than Drinking and Driving, but that's not the point, the point is to get people out of the habit of thinking that it is acceptable to do it, because it isn't! And NO I don't hate you for you comments, I just think you're a :xxx: for thinking that this attitude is right in this day 'n age. Grow up and become a responsible Zed owner.
  22. Try these then ;) http://www.neuralmotion.com/m30z/ http://www.chimera.co.nz/300zx/ and http://www.googlism.com/what_is/3/300zx/
  23. I don't agree with you at all, in fact I think you have an entirely selfish attitude to even suggest any of that. NO-ONE can say when they have had enough, even one could affect you enough to end up in an accident, and kill someone, what you are saying, IMHO, is total *****cks!! The message IS and SHOULD be DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE, period! Anything else is selfish, stupid, and irresponsible. End of rant............... Anyone wanting to argue this point, please justify it here, as I'm more than willing to pull it to pieces :D
