  1. I thought you removed the fuel filler cap?
  2. Yep, certainley turns heads............ I even got an acknowledgement from a 350Z owner the other day, made me quite chuffed :D (nice to find a 350 owner who knows the heritage of them) And welcome to the club
  3. Stunning mate
  4. I've finally found the fault with my Zed :D For those who don't know, I've had a running problem with my Zed for some time now. Basically, when you press your foot down to get some 'Humpty' out of it, it just coughs and splutters! You have to back your foot off a bit and increase gentley (hardley any point in owning a Zed if you have to do that all the time). Then once its really warmed up it's very lumpy on idle (10 out of 10 for technical wording ;) ) The solution...... Today I've been fitting my new shiney Cam cover, Throttle cover and Coilpack bolts. When I got to the coilpack ones, i decided to take the pack out and check the spark plug at the same time. When I took No/ 2 out the pack looked fine, but the spark plug had all black dry gunge round it. Strange i thought, but maybe just some stuff that had fallen down there and had dryed out. then i took No/ 4 out, and discovered why all the black gunge in No/ 2. Can you spot why???.... Basically it's knacked!! :D It's blown a hole on three sides, and has been arcing to earth. This is the caurse of my running fault. It looks like the previous owner has swopped the coilpacks over in an atempt to rectify the problem, or just put them back in the wrong place. So i've wrapped quite a bit of insulation tape round it (as a temp measure), and took it for a test drive.......... perfect :D   So tonight I'm a happy man, even though I'm trying not to think of all the money I've spent trying to rectify this problem

Sunday only for me, but defo going :D
  6. Sorry Ivan, but I'm not going to be able to make it this time. I just can't afford to fuel her for that much of a journey so close after the holiday (as I don't get paid until a week on Friday) and I've put far too much on the plastic recentley :nono: Anyway, she's still running like a bag of cr**, so it wouldn't be an enjoyable trip down. Hopefully next time.
  7.   Well, it's looking a bit pale ;)
  8. Nahhhhh!!!!!! I wax 'em ;)
  9. So was I correct then :D If so, what a bloody good guess :D
  10. Albino Praying Mantis???
  11. Morning boys and girls :D I popped in last night for a read of posts, bloody hell!!! 9 pages I went through, and that was just General!! Well, I'm all bronzed now  It was quite hot over there, 38 most days. Didn't see any Zeds, plenty of wrecks though :D, sorry I mean taxis ;) We saw some local guy get knocked off his moped by a bus. Police just stand around and look busy, untill the army turned up and just moved the moped, and then everyone just left, the guy had gone to hospital by that time (well we assumed he went to a hospital, but you never know over there, could have gone to someones home for all we know ;) ) For those who want to know what Egypt is like, I'll be writing a new Journal, along with my recomendations, views and some personal advice as to what to, and what not to do while over there. I've also got some VERY usefull short sayings in Arabic for you aswell ;) Thats it for now :D
  12. While I'm sat here at work doing nothing, waiting to be able to go home ;) I thought I'd give you an up-date on this little project....... Well the up-date is........ I've got all the components, but thats it still. Hopefully will get around to this one soon. Never seem to have any time to myself these days  and I really must finish off the decorating :D But I will keep you informed, and try to do a combined FAQ on both projects, more aimed at the UK market, instead of the US and Austrailian ones. I'll give all the UK suppliers details on the components that I've used.
  13. I've got OEM UK leather now, changed it from JDM tweed, wouldn't go back. Much better, and you can always wipe stains and spills up more easily :D
  14. FFS Yas, really sorry for you bud. But has as been said, stick with her mate, she is well worth it :D Good idea about a garage, if there are any around your way. Wish you luck with her mate.
  15. I picked up a little 2 way scart switch box from ASDA for £2.99 at xmas for my kids bedroom. Two in, one out, nice chunky switch for little fingers to press.
  16. Thanks chaps :D I'll be driving down to Gatwick early hours Monday, in the Zed  so if anyone sees a red Zed tearing down the M1 or the M25 then it'll probably be me :D It's gona be parked in a secured car park, thought it would be better this way and leave the Escort at home with my house sitter ;) And for anyone who is interested in Egypt, i'll try to post a full Journal up when I get back, rather then put loads of stuff in the forum (as I said, I don't wana bore you all) BTW, this was a really good deal we got from Lastminute.com, only £279 each, just checked on their site last week, and the full price to the same hotel, same dates, but with a different airline, was £2995 (RRP) for two adults!!!!!! And that was going for £1895!! So I think we got a good deal at the right time. AirLaden.................. Cant seem to find the return part of the ticket, but they do take you directly into your hotel!!!!!! ;)
  17. Right guys 'n gals, thats me done for a week and half :D Won't be on tonight, working tomorrow morning (so may pop in for a little bit), prob wont be on tomorrow night, as I'll be busy sorting stuff out, then off to Karens on Sunday, so won't be on then either. Then it's off t'Egypt  I'll be thinking about all you lot suffering the freezing cold over here, while we're soaking up the georgeous sunshine over there ;) It's a hard job but someone's got to do it :D I'll have my camera with me, so if I do see a Zed (Uh! Fat chance of that) I'll take a pic. And don't worry, I won't bore the crap out of you all when i come back ;) as if i would, lol. Have a jolly nice week without me :D And try not to start any arguments while I'm away  Hopefully see some of you at Ironbridge for the Midlands meet, on the 20th. :duffer:
  18. Arrrrrrrrrrrrr, I see what you mean. Well thoses switches are called Momentory switches. They would operate a latched relay, or a circuit board type devise. One press for on, one press for off. Wouldn't know what they are actually for though. But they could be for a horn push!!?? Maybe?!? Can you take a pic and attach it to this thread?
  19. Sounds like the cruise control switches to me.
  20. And me :D ........ Although not guaranteed just yet.
  21. Part number is - 14055-F6511 For one pipe HTH
  22. Arrrrrrr, there I go, question answered :D That was back in the days when I didn't know anyone on here (by face anyway) even though I'd spoken on the forum. Come-to-think-of-it I still don't know all that many of you by face.................. Although there are a few that are un-missable (insert your own jokes ;) )
  23. Oooooooooooooooooo! Billings 2003 :D, I've got a pic of yours in the same position on my hard drive at home, if you want it I'll e-mail it to you :D So does anyone recognise the people in the background?
  24. Same here, I'm changing from my Nokia 6100 to the Motorola V3, in two weeks time :D Well smart phone  Only thing is, I've got to change my car system over to Bluetooth, as they don't do a lead for my current car system :(
  25. For the Fairlady (Jap Spec only) try here HTH
