Was this product purchased from a UK company? If it was, then, AFAIK, it will stiil be under UK law, and as such MUST come with a minimum 12 month warranty for defective parts/workmanship, unless it is stated as refurbished/reconditioned or a used item.

After almost giving up on this I've finally stumbled across a site that gives loads of info and links for all things video! The sites name is.... http://www.videohelp.com And the bit of softwear that converts .MOV to .AVI (and that'll actually load and run, without a watermark) is called..... Rad Video Tools I've, succesfully converted 3 .MOV's to .AVI so far, so it looks like this Zed DVD is back on track, well it is if the burning program doesn't crash again (I think my processor may not be up to the job). Will keep you informed as soon as I have some more news.

Rear connections are; RF in, RF out, SCART 1 to TV I/O, SCART 2 I/O, Composite Video (RCA), S-Video, AUDIO out (RCA), & Co-Axial Digital out (for 5.1). Front connections are; DV in (i-Link/DV), S-Video in, AUDIO in (L & R, RCA), & Video in (RCA) Recording speeds are; HQ = 1 Hour, SP = 2 Hours, LP = 3 Hours, EP = 4 Hours, & EP+ = 6 Hours. No it cant do Dual Layer It's got a built-in TV (analogue/NICAM) tuner, and records in PCM mode (Digital 5.1) So at £99.95 you can't really beat it, well I'm impressed for the money anyway. HTH

Looks a nice tidy motor you have there Vinny. BTW, you may find that the next time you take it for an MOT it'll fail on the spacing of the number plate, or at least it should do by law, but you never know these days ;) Anyway nice to see it's red, as that makes it faster anyway ;)

Just brought myself a DVD recorder, so that I can copy all my old camcorder videos of the kids onto DVD. Was in ASDA the other week and spotted this one at £119.99, and thought it would do the job, but just couldn't quite justify the money on the basis that I wouldn't be getting rid of the 'old' one as it's got the Dolby Digital 5.1 decoder built-in, and this one hasn't. Anyway popped in on Thursday and spotted that they'd knocked £20 off the price, so thought 'Sod-it' and brought it :D It's the CyberHome CH-DVR 750, and has got loads of I/O ports. As long as it records decently then that's all I need out of it, as, like I say, I'm still keeping my other one, which is a Sony DVP-NS400D, mainly because it matches all my other Sony gear in the lounge :cool: EDIT** The picture shows a DVR 1500 (the old model), mine has the brushed alloy, flat, front panel, with the addition of a DV input (firewire) port.

Your not supposed to, it was a question posed by another member, it wasn't a competition! If you are going to take everything on here in such a manner, then, maybe, you're in the wrong place. (Just IMHO) You shouldn't beleive everything you read/hear/see on the net......... After all remember the BBC once broadcast a program on April 1st one year regarding Spaggetti growing on trees, people beleived them because it was a well respected BBC program! Well I wouldn't sat Passionate, but I do have a Ford Escort Mexico!! :D The only problem is that it's a 1995 MK7 version, which means it's a base model with 'leccy windows, a sunroof and a Mexico badge! But it gets me to work and back ;)

Yep agree with this, was going to say go for around 800 x 600 (ish) and, depending which program you have, about 1/2 quality, this normally gives me around 100Kb, so this'll be well within the forum limits of 250Kb. HTH

If I went on another forum and started quoting this and that, and trying to be a general know-it-all, purlley (spelling?) from beleiving everything I was told is correct, just because it's on the internet, then I'd expect the same reaction. I'll tell you what, I'll copy a picture of a dyno run sheet, and then play with it in PhotoShop, and post it on the net, would you beleive it? I know I wouldn't, but then it's down to trust! So unless I actually see somthing then how do I know it is genuine? As the saying goes "A little knowledge is dangerous!" OK, well sod it, I just wont look for Dash Lights again then :D So does anyone know where the link for the speedo dash light mod is (Ithink it may have been SXOC)

Now thats interesting....... My original search was 'Dash Lights', and all I got was that message above when I tried to open the results. But I've just done a different search and thats worked fine, so i did the search for 'Dash Lights' again and no joy :confused:
