  1. Good old S&T ;) 9 years Signaling New Works (S&T) working upto Senior Engineering Technician, then moved to a Railway Site managers post, and now a Opperations Support Manager at the railway test centre in Melton Mowbray, but with no work :( So a new job on the railway is on the cards ;) Vince, good thread this mate :D
  2. Might be helpfull if we knew what-on-Earth you're talking about ;)
  3. For all you fans, how about a full PC built for you? For full details look here
  4. But the thing here is that if the heat has already damaged it, then there could be dry joints, etc, within the unit causing problems before it gets warm! Just a thought, would also agree with the AFM idea as well.
  5. PMSL   Only one word, and as my lad said as we came out........................WICKED!!!!!
  6. That really is looking awesome mate, very nice  You will need to ask Daves_New_ZX as a I bought the spoiler off him, it was one of the few that I liked the look of and snapped it up when he said it was for sale. Cheers Dave :D :D I'm sorry to say, but I don't know. Apparentley my zed was imported with it already attached! It does come with a in-fill panel to cover all the holes up without having to fill them, but Richard has decided to dis-pense with that, I wish i'd done that now ;)
  7. 1995 Ford Escort 1.6 Mexico Green :D Now what does that say about me? ;)
  8. Yeah George Lucus has written three more books, called, 'A New Hope', 'The Empire Strikes Back', and 'Return of The Jedi' :D Don't know if he'll make any more films though ;) And I'm going this afternoon :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

  10. Following on from the Star Wars thread, I read that a few people don't like going to cinemas for the usuall reasons................ So I was wondering which was the worst one you've been to? Mine was one in London, on Hyde Park corner, went to see Steven Seagal in Exit Wounds, the behaviour of the audience was terrible. Talking over the film, throwing stuff about and generaly disturbing behaviour all the way through the film. Film was good though ;)
  11. Found this on 300zxclub.com, I've given it a go on my FireFox and it works quite well, see what you think................ Broadband and Firefox users only -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Found this on another site works pretty good. thought i would post. This is simple. Works wonders really. Want Firefox to run 2/3 times faster? Course you do. Read on... Here's something for broadband (will have the opposite effect for 56kers) people that will really speed Firefox up: 1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipeli ning network.http.pipelining.m axrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: (by double clicking them) Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipeli ning" to "true" Set "network.http.pipelining.m axrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.del ay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves. If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages 2-3 times faster now. I swear it works, pages are loaded in a split second for me now. Very Happy Thats it.
  12. 30th December 2003, almost 18 months now :D
  13. Stolen this idea from the US site, but it may have been done here before ;) So what is your desktop looking like at the moment????...... To start it off I've attached mine (The Collosi Of Memnom, Luxor, Egypt), just wondering if anyone has anything spectacular on theirs? :D
  14. Righty-o mate, don't worry, you are one of the chosen ones ;) As for the others, watch this space, I've got to make a phone call to the States to sort prices (again)
  15. ROFLMGDFAO!!!!!!!!! Now that was funny
  16. It's RED and shiney :D
  17. Nah! Not had a problem so far, although I've had a few coppers take a good look at it :D
  18. Never ceases to amaze me that people are trying to sell a car, and they don't put photo's up  For crying out load! Your trying to sell something for £2,500+, whats wrong with a couple of photo's..... Just goes to show that you don't care that much, so din't care that much about how the Zed was looked after.............. Dumb Ass :xxx:
  19. Happy birthday from Karen and myself aswell mate :D :duffer: :duffer:
  20. I just looked through General and missed this................... oppssssss :slap: :mac1: Agree, a damm decent chap :D
  21. I use to work for GTRM (now Carillion) S&T new works at Grantham for 11 years, for the last 5 I've been involved with the set up and then operation of the test centre for Virgins Pendolino tilting trains over at Melton Mowbray. I'm now trying to get back into signaling construction managment in some way.
  22. Thanks chaps :D Another downside, I HATE interviews :wack: But, if I get it, at least I will be getting rid of the old Escort, as I'll have to buy somthing decent (and DIESAL :hurl: ) to travel about the country.
  23. As some of you know, I'm facing redundency here at the moment, and the future isnt looking too rosey (or Orange.... or any other colour either ;) ) So I've started to be a little Pro-Active on the job front, and within the rail industry there are numourous web sites where you can register your details, of which others can then view these details (I'm sure there are others like this). Well I registered my details this afternoon, and put in an application for, what looked like a good position with another rail company. Well less than 10 minutes later I got a phone call from a different company offering me a job!!!! :D The position would be on my side of the country, with loads of benifits (except a car) and at £10,000 MORE than I'm getting now!!!!! The down side would be that I'd have to work for a living (somthing I've not done for the last four years ;) ), but the main one is that I wouldn't be on here anywhere near as often  Anyway, CV off by E-Mail tonight, and fingers crossed :D :nana2:  :nana2:
  24. Full costs and details will be posted soon....... That's as soon as I have the full costs :D  Whatch this space........
