  1. You can just take the bulb out, mine was like this when I brought. It wont affect anything else.
  2. Snow??!! What snow????? :D
  3. Work wise... In February I was told that we were to expect redundency, this was then reprieved with a new contract coming our way. Now that that contract finishes at the end of January '06 we are defo expecting redundency in the new year. (it's been in all the newspapers, Network Rail refusing to buy our place, or even take it on for nothing!!!! Alstom, my employer, cant even give it away!! Bloody disgusting, it's the only Railway testing facility in the UK) Family life.... Ups and downs with my ex-wife (not actually divorced yet) Having a fantastic life without her though ;) Things would be just fine now, if I can sell my house very soon. Zed wise..... Not been a fantastic year, didn't make it to most of the shows I wanted to attend. The auto box gave up the ghost, and after a £1200 re-build, the linkage dropped off as I arrived at JAE. Then just three weeks later the whole box packed up again!! All sorted under warranty, but all the inconvenience has really pissed me off. Started the year off by completeing my 60k service and quite a few other bits at the same time. Finishing the year off with some more, minor, work, but then it'll be taken off-road, as with pending redundency and not having sold my house yet, I simply cant afford to pay for the insurance (due 28th Dec) So it'll be SORNed and stored at my dads house untill things sort themselves out.
  4. Offer him the right price and I'm sure he'd sell you the whole car!!! :D
  5. Yes they do go wrong. Two choices..... 1) Open it and see if you can find a 'Dry-Joint' (None-smoking veriety ;) ) or some other reason why it isn't working properly. 2) Contact one of our breakers in the traders section, I wouldn't have thought it would cost too much. HTH
  6. Yeah, sorry, that makes no difference :nelson: In that case, may I sugest that you check your earth connection from the number plate lamp holder.
  7. They do, but the Tail/Brake light sensor is in the way as well, so there could be a fault with the number plate outlet from there! Just look at the wiring diag that Hellraiser put up, find the License Plate (number plate) part at the top middle of the diag, and then follow the wires back from there. One goes to earth, along with the rear lamp units, but the feed goes to(comes from) the sensor. On another note, yeah as I agree with the sentiments of not bothering about having your number plate lite up, why advertise the fact to an over-eager plod that might be following you, give them an inch, and they'll take a mile!! And it is an MOT failure, as are all your lights that are fitted, except front fog, as they are a UK requirement. But all lights, if fitted, MUST work and be road worthy, if you are stopped by the plod!
  8. Look HERE for all your fog light choices!! ;)
  9. You plonker Rodnaaaay
  10. Just to compare the two together :D I still like the Capri very much. I'd like to be able to fit one out with all modern items, from the engine, right through to central locking, but keep everything looking like it came from the factory in the 80's. Could make an interesting project.
  11. Just been looking through some old car photographs, and came across a couple of my old cars. My first 2.8i Capri, LVP 48X, this was taken at Badgers Hill, Sheriffs Lench, Evesham, sometime back about '91. She had just been re-sprayed back to her original Colbalt Blue over Strato Silver, with the thin twin stripes and polished Pepper Pot alloys as it would have come out of the factory back in 1981 (first 2.8i production year) I'd brought it with a body kit fitted, which was hiding some accident damage ..... And another one of her taken at my (then) home in about '93/94. Still looking good, except for a light rusting area between the lower front valance and off side wing.... Now this one is my second 2.8i Capri, a later 1984 version. The only, subtle, difference (from this view) is that the striping is thick over thin. The other main difference is that the interior was vellor Recaro seating and door trims, as opposed to the tarten, and slightly less plush looking, interior of the earlier '81/82 cars....

  15. Some people on here will slate you, simply because they don't like body kits, personally it doesn't bother me either way, as long as the end result looks good. Nice of you to come on here and explain what is going on, and I for one would be interested in the finished article, would be nice to see it at some shows nxt year.
  16. Yeah, same as what Vini put ;) (although I no longer work for the S&T ;) ) And as for the video....fook me!!!

  23. Are you refering to a 2+2 or a 2+0? (I assume a 2+0) One of the SWB guys will let you know that one, but I'd think they probably would. 5.25 inch for the front, and 6 x 4 for the rear = standard speakers HTH
