I had my exhaust fitted to the Zed and collected it on friday morning! Its from the down pipes, straight through to the tailpipes, no silencers or cats! The car had been driving well yesterday until this morning until this happened! Everything seemed fine but all of a sudden on the way to my mechanics to fix a squeaky belt (was told later it was the viscous) this morning, i started the car after a quick dash to the cash point. I heard a rather loud whining noise which faded away after 20 secs of driving BUT the car was hesitating and idleing very badly! My mechanic who was not able to book it in as i was only booked in for a squeaky belt to be fixed sent me back but on my way home it got really bad and the car was going bonkers with the revs dropping to cut out point and then shooting up to 2000 rpm! The exhaust doesint sound to well aswell after this happened! Can anyone shed some light on what has happened to my car! The engine doesint sound good when its at idle it sounds very unhappy! HELP ANYONE PLEASE! Fas

Well i can guarantee this, if he hasint done it b4 he is gonna have trouble installing it 1st time without any glitches! Its not as easy as people say! Fas

Also has he fitted a kit to a Zed before, because if he hasint and yours is the first expect it to go wrong! Hes gonna be making constant adjustments to get it perfect as hes never done it b4! Anyway when you get it done let me know how it goes! Fas

You do realise that if you get hydraulics your handling is gonna become really bad! Anyway back to the topic! I dont wanna pay 2k to get lambo doors as i think that is far to much in my opinion! If the kit is 1k and is easy to fit without major self modifications i might consider it! The problems that i have seen when fitting these hinges is unbelievable with doors slamming down and scraping underneath by the footwell! The door not closing properly, i dont have the time to keep going back so not until i see a reliable kit with a decent price im not gonna purchase 1! Im gonna wait and see what becomes available in time! In the meanwhile ill spend the money elsewhere! Fas ;)

These hinges which are done have been made around small-medium sized cars! If you look at most of the Show cars that have Lambo doors the chances are they have been done by Turismo Bodystyling! The problem is the Zed doors weighs so much and the hinge in my opinion and a few others who have dealt with these kits agree that they will cause major hassle when opening and closing sooner or later! What where trying to do now is to get a Hinge and try to reinforce it to make it able to withstand the weight of the Zed door! If your gonna be using your Zed regularly then id advise to leave it and wait for something better to come along like i am! If you can handle the stress and time then go for these! Iv only ever seen 1 Zed with lambo doors and that is the swedish Zed which he did himself apparently!

Where is it gonna be anyway! Im not 1 for Max Power neither but iv always said any publicity is good publicity! We need to let others know how good Zeds really are and why not pop down and check all the other high performance jap cars they got there 2! Fas

Ok im in about £10k worth of debt on the Zed, but im hoping i should have most of it paid of within a year and a half! But IMHO the Zed was worth every opinion! Im a student and people thought i was a drug dealer when i first pulled up in Uni with it :D Those looks where worth it! People dont understand how cheap they can get to purchase but maintenace is where it screws you very hard! Fas

Guys iv practically given up on my Car!!! Things dont seem to be moving at all!!! Im more depressed than eva, it should have been in the spray shop getting prepped by now but is still sitting at the bodykit place! Im going down this saturday to find out wats bloody goin on! Im so depressed, the Zed is the only thing that makes me smile and Ace cafe really depressed me as i sow all the other Zeds and really started missing my 1! Ill be so glad when its finished! Fas p.s. Oh yeh the doors, well the kit that was supposed to be used is not good enough for me, as i reckon its far to weak to support the weight of the door! So iv decided to hold it off till a stronger version is made!!!

Guys iv looked into this fitting lambo doors to a zed for far to long!!! The main problem is that the kits that where made from over the states are being imported over here!!! These kits where originally designed for Civics but what most have done is that they have modified them to fit the car of choice!!! On the Zed the problem is the weight of the door as it weighs F uckin 2 much!!! U have to modify the original kit which in my opinion is not safe at all, as iv seen others do this and the kit has eventually F ucked up on them later on!!! These kits dont give much space for you to get into the car!!! Im holding my breath for the meanwhile and hoping some1 will come up with a kit that will fit directly onto the Zed without any problems!!! No matter what i reckon starting prices will be over a £1000 for the kits!!! Fas

Yeh the night was alright the first time i sow quite a few Zeds!!! Got depressed after a bit as i really started to miss driving my car especially as i had driven it that morning back to the bodyshop from Duffers place the night b4!!! Gotta say Garrys Zed is one fiery Beast!!! Met a few of you breifly but couldint find James but did see his Zed!!! Hopefully ill be there at the May meet!!! Fas

MAC UR THE MAN!!! Where do i get these drip trays from as i need 2 for the vents on the side!!! The big 1 at the front leads directly over the radiator which is good as it wont damage any electrical wiring!!! Didint you say you wanted to get them changed though!!! Fas

OMG whos filthy engine bay is that, he should be paid large amounts of cash by every1 on the forum to sort it out! Id say about £3000 should fix it!!! :D Ahhh isint my engine pretty! LMFAO! Iv also heard this Rumour i think if Andy is on the same wave length as me!!! Then again if you wanna release some of the hot air out of your engine bay the best thing to do is to get it out as quick as possible!!! Macs vents are good as he has said!!! Iv gone for something a bit different!!! Fas
