  12. My weekend has been rather a bit hectic and tiring. Had to get the Zed ready for transporting all the way to Preston to Duffer's place. Got up on Saturday morning and headed towards East London and started adjusting the suspension which took me loads of time whilst at the same time removing my rear spacers. The suspension was really hard as you dont have much space to turn the c spanner as its a bit akward, my arm was killing me by the end of it!!! After getting that done i tried F U C King up the PTU but couldint get the damn Boost pipe off (my inexperience shows here) a quick call to Stuart (SMW1) who may i say was a great help, and i asked him if he could possibly come down and give me a hand which he kindly did (by the way mate im still waiting on that dry cleaning bill ;) i am sorry about getting your hands dirty but im useless at this stuff) Just wanna say a big thanks to him for taking time out to help me and to remind me how good these Zeds bloody look, his car looked and sounded awesome, the ICE install is well nice WELL DONE MATE!!! Finally got everything else done on the car and called upon the AA who sent there guy round. At first i thought he was gonna figure it out as he had the boost pipe off but he started cleaning the throttle boddies  They then called a recovery truck which arrived after ages roughly about 6pm. The problem being he was only gonna take me to toddington services on the M1. At this moment im starting to think im gonna get to duffers well late  fortunately he was well nice about it and didnt mind as he was gonna be up all night getting pissed  :D Eventually got picked up about an hour later by the second recovery truck, though i had to endure a coach full of german students asking me questions about what i had done to the car, i couldint understand a single word!!! :slap: I never realised how far Preston was and boy did it take ages!!! Got their after 12 at night. Duffer was waiting for me outside and may i say he was a bit tipsy :duffer: (it must have been a bloody good night in, as him and all of his mates where completly pissed :duffer: ) Though i have to say they where still able to push the ZED half way up his street and on to his drive and still be jolly about it (some dodgy steering by me did it but i nearly crashed the thing into his house) I also wanna say a big thanks to Duffer for being so patient with me and taking my car in on such short notice, hes a top bloke and even though he was a little tipsy he still listened to all my rambling about the Zed!!! CHEERS MATE!!! Finally got to Birmingham after a lift from my uncle at 1am, arrived at 3am and decided to stay the night as i was to tired to make my way back to London. Arrived back on sunday evening at about 6pm and went straight to work. Just arrived home and im shattered so im off to sleep!!! Fas P.S. Andy give my apoligies to your neighbours for waking them up by causing such a racket on your road and thanks to your mates for helping out, im gonna wait for your call to let me know how my Baby(zed) is getting along!!!:p
  13. You Evil Genius, but then again iv mastered the ageing process so atleast i wont age and get saggy like you old folks!!!  :slap: Fas

  20. Guys this is all helpful but youre chatting to some1 who cant do anything Wheres Stuart gone (SMW1) Ill ask him to help me!!! Cheers Fas
  21. Ok whos got a faulty PTU they can lend me, also how big of a job is it to change!!! Billynomates wat did you mean by t+t (tax & tested or something else) The cars got a MOT, im gonna go get the Road Tax on friday!!! Also make sure the car is not dirty, but its got bits of fibreglass bodykit stuck on it and holes everywhere. He's gonna have a fair idea that its come out of a garage!!! But Vij, dont worry i wont give in ill keep at him!!! Fas
  22. The cars been sitting in a garage for a long time, it does not seem to turn over. SMW1 mentioned it just needs a bit of tinkering and it should start up as its been sitting there for to long!!! Id rather not start it and drive as it needs work to be done on it!!! Im in no rush for them to recover me in a hurry, ill get the car out of the garage probably get a few guys to push me half way down the street. Then call the AA and say my cars gone dead!!! If they take 3 hours to get a recovery truck to me i wont be to bothered. Im gonna have to just sort it out with the person i drop it off to if i can drop it on the saturday and not the sunday!!! If im on a normal London Road they cant refuse to take me to manchester can they, thats what i wanna know!!! Fas
  23. Then again dont we have the choice of where we want the car to go if it is recovered!!! I could say i want the car repaired and that it needs specialist attention as its a sports car!!! The customer is always right, or am i gonna get myself inot trouble!!! I have roadside relay so they cant exactly say anything to me!!! Fas
  24. So what kind of a part would you say might just get disconnected then mate!!! :D What if the car broke down on a saturday and i decided after i called the AA out and they cant get it started, i wanted it to be transported on the sunday morning , as i would like to go with the vehicle. Do you reckon they would be able to do that for me!!! Obviously you've never done this before :D Cheers Fas
  25. I need to take my Zed from London over to Manchester. I dont really wanna drive it as it has a few problems from bursting hoses to a timing belt which needs doing!!! Has any1 ever used the AA and asked them to recover a vehicle and drop it to a destination of your choice even it is all the way up to Manchester. What did you exactly do!!! As i live in West London and the car is in East London, i wanna pick it up from there and take it direct to Manchester. Would the AA refuse to recover me and take me to Manchester due to the distance. I thought of making the excuse it needs specialist attention!!! Any Ideas Guys Fas
