I bought a turbo timer a couple of weeks ago for my Z, got fed up with sitting and waiting. Was also worried about the implications with the alarm, mine cuts in after 15 seconds, I usually wait until the engine has stopped before setting the alarm. My timer, like most, has a cut out wire to the handbrake so if anyone does try to steal it as soon as they releas the handbrake the engine cuts out. usually you have to hammer the turbos to get a high setting on the timer but if you let them cool down with a steady drive timer setting is only about 15/20 secs anyway.

Just wanted to say thanks to all those who repied to my post, "Apexi Air Filter" Just re-instaled filter,sealed all joints,made a bracket to stop bounce and reset the ECU. Running perfect now. Many thanks, Phil.

yep, I also get the brake creak on the front but as an added bonus I also get a high pitched squeel when I brake hard, aren't I blessed, sure makes heads turn.

Hi, I have used Optimax a couple of times in my TT import and have definitely noticed a difference. Especially on acceleration. Just too bloody expensive for me to use all the time. Phil.

Hi, Mine came with rear " light panel" already fitted (Jap import) and I've not had any probs. Also both rear "passenger" (thats a laugh unless your 2' 4") window light panels, has anyone seen these before ? Just for reference in case they bugger up. All three panels light up green, can the colour be changed ? My Zs red. Cheers, Phil.

I could make brackets without a problem but i dont think this will sort out the revs dieing off when the pedal put down.

I didnt realise I had to re-set the ECU (new to this) is it easy to do ? Bought the filter from Japan, E. bay, didnt come with adapter kit and not specific for 300zx. Phil.

Hi All, Having recently purchased a Jap Import K reg Auto Twin Turbo Fairlady Z I decided to fit an Apexi Power Intake Filter. Unfortunately when I offered up the filter to the air flow sensor the bolt pattern did'nt match. After re-drilling a couple of holes I got the filter on, however when I took her for a test drive all was well on " normal " driving but when I put my foot down the revs just died, foot off the gas revs came back, foot down revs died. I was not able to solve this problem and had to put the stock air box back on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Phil.
