ok yesterday i thought i would check to see if my car is burning oil. the dipstick was really hard to get in and out of tube which was odd but it bone dry................. so then i panicked that my car suddenly ate all its oil. Well today i filled up around 4 litres of oil and the dipstick was still dry. gently took car around corner to warm it up and it was still dry noticed oil dripping out underneath car so i think i have overfilled car and dipstick pipe is broken as it wobbles a bit. i am a bit happier that i could have not burned much oil previously but obviously i need to re fit dipstick tube and drain all the oil. How hard is it to get the dipstick tube back in the block?

Ill get santa or tompei to follow me this week to see. Ill post back my findings and get one of them to video using my phone when it happens

Usually its valve guides / seals if you see blue smoke on decel. Piston rings if you see smoke on acceleration. isnt that correct?

whats over run? ive been looking at youtube videos and everyone else who has piston rings and turbo probs have blue smoke all the time and worse on acceleration. mine only does it even i rev down then slightly blip throttle. the sound sounds like something dumped when it happens and stinks of fuel. If i slow down using second then rev hard i get no smoke what-so ever. smells of fuel most of the time but no other times i get blue ish smoke. Absolutely sure its not dumped/unburnt fuel seeing how my car is overfueling? this car HAS to last 2 years befoore i spend on the engine. to be honest i would be very angry at Carl who did work for MJP because he told me Mike came down and tested the car and it was absolutely fine. Only warnings i got from carl that came from MJP was that my Right O2 sensor is lazy when cold and i have code 34.

great.... just forked alot of money on conversion to find my car is pretty much dying... cant afford to pay until atleast 2011 end so it better bloody last!

mine doesn;t tried that. left it for 10 mins at idle after getting home and revved it.. nothing. only when decelerating followed by a blip on throttle. if i decelerate and then pull hard agin i get nothing too. Compression test only recently done before manual conversion and was all ok. my car does overfuel alot and so it must be related i cant tell 100% what colour it is. need someone behind me next time :)

but why only on deceleration followed by light blip on the throttle? Never any other time or on deceleration followed by heavy blip on throttle

liek above. my car never smokes on idle apart from the morning when its a bit steamy looking. I have noticed that when i decelerate in second gear and start to apply a tiny bit of throttle again i get some blue ish smoke puff out the back. but on hard acceeleration its not there. Is it unburnt fuel because my car does smell of fuel from the exhausts?

can i use wonder wheels to clean CAS?

i suspect its CAS as other posts show similar problems. and MAFs have been shown to show same problems on full boost at WOT. Anyone got a MAF i can try and can anyone show me how to clean CAS?

i havnt though of that . worth a shot i guess. but i think i should get it diagnosed whilst i take it out on the road. Anybody know who can help me do this near me?

Yeha i think the next thing im going to invest in is a loom. The only other things i can pin point this problem is either A. Fuel pump defective and not going 12v B. ECU fecked C. Dodgy Restrictor bypass D, Timing, CAS looks like i need it diagnosed whilst running

driving from brentwood i hammered it and at 90 it stopped pulling again for a second and a half so my cars old problem is back. didnt redline but makes me wonder............... Can a faulty speed sensor cause these sorts of havocs? It happens when high loads at high speeds.... i can redline at any other gear except 3rd and above and so cant tell if its Injectors, loom or a faulty Speedo im getting seriously fecked off with this car now. it runs smoother but still cant handle high loads.. It used to do it around 3rd gear at 70-80 mph when it was auto and now its manual its slightly higher speed before doing it but it is still there! :( This Post is Exactely what im experiencing but even with FULL tank http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=69486&referrerid=11424 i mean seriously.............
