  1. we just bought one from ebay and purely used it for the pipework and silicon couplers and bends, mine already had a border fmic so i was lucky :) Mike
  2. We were also making the upper pipework ie the throttle bodies and the hot side turbo pipework bigger, if memory serves we had some 64mm pipework which we were changing it to :) Mike
  3. Heres some pictures of the turbo pipework and another picture of the front of the engine where you can see how much you need to grind away the engine mounts to allow the pipework to pass past them Sorry i dont have anymore but i lost a dvdr full of all my pictures :( Mike
  4. dont think he does aem, i know he does his own chips but thats it. you will be best looking at the skyline and supra forums to find decent aem mappers as theres more on there :) if you get stuck pm me i know a few decent ones Mike
  5. yes there very good, the skylines run very similar coils to ours and its a good upgrade for a skyline running bigger boost. as its been said i would also look at your plugs, which ones do you have?? might be worth going a grade colder? i had 7's in mine but 8's would be more than good enough for your spec i would have thought and they need to be gapped right, 0.9 or if its blowing the spark out then try them a little closer :) Mike
  6. If there old coils then its possible, be worth getting some new ones or upgrade them to splitfire coils. Mike
  7. i would imagine he is talking custom ecu with custom looms etc and having to build up a map and setting from scratch will will obviously take lot of time but the likes of the aem is pure plug and play and has a few base maps to start with :) Mike
  8. "touch wood" we are really busy, we have just taken the plunge and expanded our business and taken 2 more people on to handle the work load and it doesnt seem to be slowing down!! i suppose i'm lucky that the flooring game will always get work as people will always want new flooring or commercial will always need to repair or change theirs. on the up side is we are getting massive discounts on stuff, we just contract hired a car and a van for a fraction of the price!! Mike
  9. a good mapper should easily be able to map a car in under 5 hours!! most ecus now have a base map to start from so its just a case of building it up from there
  10. http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/dotw_laptops?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs pretty good laptop and a very good price also keep an eye out for the 1510 version as last week it was on offer for £299 which is really cheap Mike
  11. either go for the profec b as suggested or the hks evc 4 or 5 both very good boost controllers :) Mike
  12. i had the iphone and it is a nice thing but i sold it after 1 week because overall its a rubbish phone!! has loads of funky stuff but when it comes down to the main function of a phone its rubbish LOL not tried the newer version though. tbh i have the 8gb n95 and apart from being chunky i like it, unlike the iphone it does pretty much everything well :) must admit i do like the look of the new samsung and the x1
  13. yeh jurgen is a top guy, cant do enough for you and i wouldnt use anyone else to import a car :) he is getting his R35 in a few weeks!!! lucky barsteward LOL
  14. you not fitted my old intercooler yet LOL you must have had it for 2 years!! Mike
  15. there is no other sleeper to go for http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=151752 i would love one :)
  16. cheers buddy i think i am going to fudge it until i get paid at the end of the month then hand my notice in :) getting quite excited about it now :D
  17. tbh we have never done any new builds so not too bad, its quite nice as we have a nice selection of domestic amtico stuff coming in regularly and some nice commercial contracts including a couple of pub chains which pay really good money, we have several other huuuuuge irons in the pan as well and if they all come off then that pretty much books us up most of next year :)
  18. we do both but we have just won a few contracts which is just labour only so no hastle with supplying materials and the money aint bad either LOL saying that the work is not easy and not the nicest but hey thats life, no pain no gain ;)
  19. LOL who knows ;) tbh the reason i am looking to give up my day job is we are really busy and struggling to keep up at the moment and no let off in work coming in. it took me along time to set this up to make sure it was done right with the right pricing structure and more importantly the right customer service and (touches wood) its really working, we are winning contracts from people who have had them for 15 years plus just because we do our work on time for a decent price and if anything goes wrong it gets put right straight away!! i am genuinly shocked of the companies we have come up against and the prices they charge, in some cases they are more than double and we make good money :)
  20. i know what you mean but i have been doing that for the last few months and i dont feel right, my boss is a great guy. well had a good chat with the wife last night and i'm going for it :) wish me luck Mike
  21. when the last big earthquake on america happened and it demolished that big motorway intersection didnt they rebuild the whole area in a few days??
  22. Well i started my business about 6 months ago and i still work full time for a courier but my business is going really well and my business partner is already working full time and more importantly getting paid by the business but its taking up most of my time and its having a big impact on my full time job, in fact such a big impact i nearly lost my job last week!! So do i take the plunge and hand my notice in and go for it??? We have a good amount of business coming in and a new contract which if all goes well should pretty easily be able to pay me what i need to survive ie pay the mortgage but its still a huuuuuuge thing to give up that guaranteed monthly salary. Mike
  23. tbh most of the auction cars are sh1te, i tend to look around on the likes of yahoo jap site and a few other places. what sort of thing are you after?? that red swb 814 rwhp is still on there for sale, i recon about £13k would get it here on the road i also know of another 500 rwhp car thats pretty special for sale, thats around £11-12k Mike
  24. strange!! i did search first LOL from the looks of it they are in so much debt it looks like there not going to carry on like apexi which is a real shame whos next?? hks
