No not really, i do like the way they look but i can imagine that going from a tuned zed they would feel pretty slow!! and i would need some kind of rear seats for the child :p

yeh the jap mad in me would love to have an R34 GTR and yes ive had a R32 and 33 so it would be logical but then when i look at that and then look at 911's for the same price i just think i may regret not buying a porka?? plus i would only end up modding the skyline which would cost me sh1t loads....again :p

Been thinking of sending my company car back and getting the car allowance so been doing a few sums and i think i might just buy a crappy vectra deisel for nipping on longer journeys and buy something really nice. Not sure if the zed will come into the equation but if i get something that gives me the same buzz then maybe?? So come on what would you buy?? I presume you know the wiring loom connections?? with regards to the "plumbing" not as hard as you think ;) take the smaller vacuum pipe and T into a vacuum source on the LHD of the balance bar then you have 2 other pipes to connect, another vacuum (one with the filter) which you need to run to the front and then T off and plumb into another vacuum source before the throttle (theres a source on the black pipe just before the throttle which you can T into) the last pipe again needs to T and run both pipes to the wastegates. remember to unplug the OEM solonoids ;) HTH Mike

all depends on what sort of power you want?? the size turbos you want etc?? the higher lift the cams the more power they make the higher in the rev range so if its fast response then stick to lower lift ones poss even UK spec cams if i was to choose between JWT and Tomei i would choose Jun or Tomei ;)

Its funny how people think these turbos are laggy ;) Just to show how "laggy" these are i will ask my tuner if he still has a printout of one of the first runs he did on my car as we had left the wastegate adjustor all the way up, closing the wastegates!!! so no boost control!!! Anyway did a power run and he had to let off VERY quickly because 1.8 Bar of boost at 4500 RPM :bow: Laggy my arse :rofl:

Just to update Checked the plenum and nothing in there thank god Also checked my catch tank and as i thought not a thing in there!! so looks like i need a catch tank with a breather on it as its not pulling in anything so another job!! Just very glad i didnt do any harm apart from my pride ;)

Been playing with my car today doing a few jobs and playing with the wastegates and boost controller so i can have a nice 1 bar with the controller switched off which it does now :) Anyway once we had sorted that out i went out on a nice long straight road to set up the boost controller to 1.2 and 1.5 bar!! started off low with the gain and eventually the controller takes over from the wastegate so its a case of keep tuning the boost controller up which i kept doing and giving it a run which was enjoyable ;) Next thing i'm at 1.1 bar and a bike starts to race me so thought why not so floored it after him, overtook him and as i did smoke pours out the back!!! :confused: OH SH!T i thought i've blown it now. Anyway nursed it home and its stops smoking??? boost it and not smoking?? pulls on my drive and smoke coming from the bonnet!! so i'm looking where from and its looking like its shot a load of oil up the dipstick :rant: so my breather system is not doing its job??? So any ideas are welcome?? i think it may be that as my catchtank doesnt have a breather filter?? Very very glad i didnt actually blow the car up :x: as i feared i'd fooked a piston!! Mike

you can get some hks wastegates, not sure how much they are or i'm sure you can get some from some knackered turbos??

?????? ok steve but when you run it lean under load and do some damage then what will you say?? there experts because most of them have a long background in tuning cars, most have paid to go on training courses with the likes of Apexi and HKS etc i know quite a few people who think its easy and live to regret "having a go" trust me mate paying 2-300 squid of well worth spending and if you pick a good one they can get every bhp out of your car without putting it in danger!!
