do you mean the outer rim of the wheel?? if so when i bought my zed back the 2 wheels one side were both scuffed so i had them refurbed and they were bought back to like new ;) If you want his number then let me know Mike

we didnt have a bad holiday but not the dream holiday we thought it would be :( we just got a bad hotel i think!! bad normal buffet food, the resturants were pretty good but not much choice but the locals were animals!! they ate everything, when you were at the bar waiting to be served they would either push past or go to the back of the bar and get served before us as they would talk in the local lingo. the trips were good, we swam with the dolphins, the outback safari was also very good and i went up the mountain with a couple of other blokes on 4x4's which was superb :) but from friday to monday we just left the hotel and ate out which cost a fortune :smw:

TBH the best place is usually where nissan intended them to be so i would go with the oem recircs place :)

all very good advice apart from the rad!! my PWR is much better than the koyo :rofl: then again its much more expensive :D only messing koyos/other uprated rad are a must upgrade for a zed for a matter of a few hundred quid!! Mike

they can go pretty much anywhere as long as its on a pressure pipe so either on the turbo outlet side or the throttle body pipes are fine, i personnely prefer them where the recircs go?

Dont know if its been mentioned but my wife works with a guy from germany and you need a hazard triangle and a first aid kit in your car to drive in germany and obviously your GB sticker on the back but they like to pull cars from other countries to see if they have the triangle etc and can fine you on the spot for not having them?? the 300zx doesnt have earthing problems?? well i should say it shouldnt but connections get crap in them and it stops them getting a good earth ;) in answer to your question we cut the earth strap where it goes from the chassis to the battery, ran the live which i fed through the wing, into the car and ran it to the back and i had one of shrimpys earthing kits so i used that to earth it to 3 points in the boot and connected the live :) Also i bought a caravan battery box to house it, think it cost me £25 to do it all and works a treat Mike

well almost finished fitting the bigger pipework :) not as bad as i thought but its a little closer to the manifold so we need to remove it all later this week and heat wrap it all to protect it. Took a few pics on my phone to show the new filter positions Left side Right Side Should get some nice cold air flow now :) Mike

as you know the main problem is the distance it has to travel!! also with the fmic theres some pretty tight bends! funny enough after the turbo outlet it runs 50mm to the black oem pipework which is 50mm then 60mm intercooler pipework down to 50mm to the throttles?? maybe worth changing the pipework after the intercooler to 60mm all the way to the throttles? Bloody cars ;)

So John would i benefit from increasing my 50mm pipework from the outlet of the turbo which is 50mm to say 60mm?? or would i not really get anymore or what i would get it wouldnt be worth the hastle?? Mike

you can always borrow a socket to get the wheel off if you havnt got it sorted bud ;)

yes you could probably make a skyline box fit but there the same as the 300 box ie weak syncros in fact the R32 and R33 have the same syncros as the 300 so again not point in getting something which is not any better than the 300 box. same reason why i say about the 350 box, yes it might be a nice box but once you start running 400+ bhp on it will it last??? i would hazard a guess prob not or not for any longer than a zed box?

exactly and the black oem pipework is all 50mm as well as the turbo outlet so putting anything bigger on the outlet side is not going to help at all?? not that i'm an expert :) Only reason ive gone so big on the inlet side is because of the design of the zed, the air being pulled in by the turbo has to travel so far so as the turbo has a 3" inlet i have matched it up with the same diameter pipework so help it as it just works the turbo too hard by pulling on the thrust bearing so hopefully the work i am doing will help this and also give me the extra air flow needed above 5000 revs where i'm struggling Mike

the bottleneck of my build was the intake pipework hence the bigger pipework :)

you are right mate and next time its mapped (few weeks) the mapper should be able to tell me if he is struggling to get air in but for what power i want ie around 600 at the wheels i would hazard a guess that although its a crap design its enough to give me the power i need. i have been offered a plenum with the 240sx throttles on it (60mm) but tbh i dont think its going to give me anything more than i have now as the turbo outlet of the greddy turbos is only 50mm anyway so i cant see it giving anymore benefit?? i think a design like the skyline one each side would be good Only problem is fitting around all the cam covers etc and you would need to get rid of the coil packs so you would be ok Iain :) Mike
