  2. as chris says its the air intake temp sensor that the new AEM ecu needs, doesnt get rid of the MAF like mr greddy says but the MAP sensor near where the battery goes does ;) oh and its wind driven now :hyper: cant afford the petrol so i stick a pole out the targa and hoist the main sail up and away i go ;) battery is in the boot bud Mike
  3. phaaa its part of the test and there very strict!! my R33 flew through the emissions test but as soon as they notices it didnt have the cats then it was a big cross :( now stop messing with the mapping and get someone who knows what there doing
  4. its matters not mr scoops as the mot tester first looks and inspects the CAt and if it aint there and it should be there he will fail it whether it passes the emissions or not!? Mike
  5. not as "phew" as we were when we realised we could get the blue 3" silicon onto the turbos with the engine in :nana2:
  6. blue, black and shiney is the way forward :D plus its easy to get hold of
  7. no not this time, managed to do all the work with it in ;)
  8. and more on the way  watch out vinz, i'm comming for ya :D fitted my new breathable catch tank today ;) will replace all the hose for blue and braided in the very near future but it all works which is more important ;) Oh and tidied up the battery tray with a little bit of hammerite :hyper: Getting there :nana2: Mike
  9. not sure about that but stop messing with your car and get the decking finished
  10. yep mine had a border rad but i'm greedy so went for a 60mm PWR rad :) had a koyo before and never had any problems Mike
  11. dont know if there the same but i have a dampener and regulator from a tt spare?? Mike

  14. i never said there was ;) i had one remember :D but i know the racing pedigree of PWR so thought i would give them a try :hyper: as i said for the money i dont think you can go wrong with a koyo Mike
  15. around the £400 mark so not cheap but quality never is ;) and you get a funky rad cap  Any of the 3 mentioned will be fine :D
  16. for the money you cant get better than the koyo!! much better built than the howie!! i got a new one from PWR and its even bigger than the howie ;) but at a price!! so unless your going silly power go for the koyo :) Mike

    i will be there ;)
  18. I know its all personnel preference and i was really looking forward to seeing these on a car as i love the rims on the skyline etc but i have to say i'm dissapointed as i dont think they look that nice on a zed :( makes them look very small? poss would have looked better in black or another colour?? but at the end of the day its what you like not me ;) falkens are very good arnt they :) i run them and the grip is superb Mike
  19. You say the supra and skyline are holding money??? nope!! in the last year the supras have gone from a decent twin turbo model fetching 10k+ to now they can be had for 5-7k for a 1995 TT!! and skyline are the same, a R32 GTR can be got for 4-8k depending on tune and a R33 has gone from fetching 15k with ease to people struggling to get 10-11k for a decent one?? So bearing in mind most of the zeds are a good 4 or 5 years older than most of the above as well so realisticly for 3-5k there about right in the market. Obviously your going to get exceptions but as we all know adding mods does not mean your adding value?? just look at sgt's car :( The only jap car which is not suffering is the R34 and thats only because theres no model report so none can be imported so there sticking at £30k+ but once they get to that magic 10 years old (another 2 years) then prices will spiral down with them as well!! Mike
  20. sell me some of your bling vinz ;) lol
  21. cant be as bad as us, i bought my AP brakes and they came boxed up as left and right so we fitted them, bled them etc and fine. Took the car into RB Motorsports and Rod looks at the brakes and calls the others over and there all laughing???? me and my dad are looking at each other thinking WTF? anyway Rod says "did you have trouble bleeding them?" "NO" we reply so he tells us we have put them on upside down  worked fine :hyper: but we have swapped them over now :D
  22. Oh and if anyone notices, my bling catch tank has been removed as i am replacing it with another one which breathes but it never came!!! so had to order another so theres more bling to go in next week :)
  23. Thought i'd better start making the engine bay look a little nicer :) Still a little dirty but looks 100% better than before, not quite on a par with Mr Bling Vinz but i'm happy with it ;) I have a load of Blue silicon to replace all the black stuff and i will be looking to get the top left pipes and poss a set of slam panels from Mr Smithy ;) Mike
  24. there highly polished alloy mate ;) my Volks were stainless rimmed but he sorted them out :) will sort his number out later for you guys Mike
