  1. As some of you may know, my cars been having a wide arched kit fitted since February and was completed a couple of weeks ago. Since then Ive been rebuilding, getting a new alarm and probably about 95% complete. But after getting it back it all seemed a bit of an anti climax :( Went for a drive out last weekend and found this horrible squeaking noise, which was a constant embarasing noise. Anyway, today rang Phil at C and S Woods and squeezed me in this afternoon. Spent nearly a couple of hours on the car, the squeak has now gone and he also aligned the doors better for me, then said "what do I owe", reply, we'll sort it out next time. Took the car out into mid Cheshire, Altrincham, Hale, Wilmslow amongst all the Ferrari's, Astons, Bentleys and the Z got more heads turning. The car sounded great, it drove great and no noises, so Im a happy chappy. Big thanks to Phil again :) Off to Nottingham 4 Wheel alignment tomorrow, so will have my new dished alloys on and all tracked up. Barry
  2. Happy birthday Steve. Barry
  3. I changed the metal mesh on my front bumper for the black plastic stuff from halfords. Also, not quite sure what im doing with my new 19" 5 Spokes. Im having them fitted on the car on Saturday, then will give it a couple of weeks to see if I like them or not Barry
  4. Fas, well chuffed youve got the car back especially after all the problems youve had. Start enjoying it now. Barry
  5. Definately working that weekend, plus car is away having the carpet made up that week. So :( wont be going. Barry
  6. And the Pacifics. The car does sit around 30mm to high on the KYBs, but looks much higher as the suspension hadnt settled since jacking it up. Barry
  7. First time Ive managed to get a few pics today, since all the work. Put one of the new wheels on to get an idea what they look like. Although they seem to fill the arch out better (being 10") im still liking my original Pacifics (9.5"). Heres some piccies.
  8. Daz, well what can I say, eerrrrrr lol Barry
  9. Hadnt realised how much wider the wide arch kit is! :headvswal Barry ps pic was took before wheel spacers went on, before anyone says.
  10. Looking good! coming together quicker than mine did lol Barry
  11. Si, glad to hear your car is back on the road after the previous problems. Barry
  12. Spent the day down with the guys at Safe and Sound in Chester today. Great bunch of lads. Fitted my new toad cat1, but also connected it to my door solenoids, so I can open the door from the fob. But as a back up Len worked his magic with some relays and diodes so I can still get in if I left the fob in the car. Its worked out this is actually a great way into the car without using the fob. I wont say what it is, but if you see me at a show, I will demonstrate :) everyone Ive shown thinks its great. Will be back soon for the boot build. Barry.
  13. Theres some pics from Saturday as it was fresh from the bodyshop. Will try and get some more pics at the weekend, but still got my new wheels to sort out and put on. The custom carpet I had made, doesnt fit too well, so its loosely fitted at the moment, not sure what im doing now with the carpet. Good luck with your conversion, any more progress pics?
  14. Been a busy week this week, trying to get the car all back together. Just wanted to say thanks to the following- Phil from C and S Woods, gave him a massive list of jobs to do, only thought he would manage a 1/4 of the work in the day he had, but no managed 3/4 of the list, brilliant service as per usual. Leon, from Alunox for making a superb sounding exhaust for me on Monday/Tuesday, not too loud, but loud enough, superb fabricator. And Pete from Nipponauto today, for retrimming my seats and panels and helping me put the car back together today. Barry

    Simon, Just replied. Barry
  16. Very nearly done, car was delivered back to C & S Woods today. Alot to do this week, Monday/Tuesday Leon At Alunox is making and fitting the new exhaust. Wednesday, Phil at C & S Woods will be fitting some of other goodies I have. Thursday, Pete from NipponAuto is fitting the trim and seats he re-covered. Friday, with Bob from Safe and Sound, fitting a new Toad alarm and hooking it up to the door solenoids. I know the wide arch kit isnt for everyone, but I think it adds to the natural lines of the 300. Looks a bit odd, as the wheel spacers havent been fitted yet. Hope you like. Barry
  17. Thanks everyone, i cant wait to get them on the car now. The wheels are 8.5x19" fronts and 10x19" rears. They were bought from US ebay, but the company werent that helpful with international buyers, so had some one in the states to buy them for me, then to ship them to me. Barry
  18. Had to get my contact in the US to buy them on my behalf, so after everything probably cost me about 800 pounds. Will wait to see what the credit card statement says! Barry
  19. Had a phone call yesterday to say my wheels have arrived in the UK, so off to UPS this morning.
  20. Received mine this morning, well done to all involved, especially to Steve, top job. Barry
  21. Thanks Sy, My arches have been modified due to the wide arch kit and the wheels will be on spacers, so hopefully alot more space for a wider tyre. Barry
  22. At present I have 19" wheels, 8.5" fronts with 235s on and 9.5" with 265s on. I have a new set of 19" wheels on order, 8.5" fronts, but the rear are 10". I was just going to transfer the tyres across, but was wondering whats the max tyre widths I could go for on the fronts and rears? Thanks Barry
  23. Lol! Thinking of advertising a few parts in the for sale section next week, possibly one arm and maybe even one leg for sale! Barry
  24. The rebuild continues. Tomorrow all the glass gets put back in and a brand new windscreen. Barry
