  1. I like it!!! Can you get some more piccies up from the side angle. I may do this myself. Al.
  2. ^^^If so, my box maybe shot!!^^^ Al.
  3. I think this could be your hicas arms. If i remember correctly, Mr F. told me that when the bushes/rubbers/bearings, whatever they are, on the hicas assy are worn, it feels like the rear end skips around corners, and over pot holes, etc, at the rear end. As matey, joely said, get her up in the air and give it a wiggle. But, i would get it all gone and fit a lock bar, if it were me!! HTH Al.
  4. i had a "beta ratio" the other night, my missus was fuming!!!!! Al.
  5. Ah yes, but....... i have removed my front fogs and placed venturi inlet ducts to vent air to the top of the ic. I have removed the rad expansion tank and c.c from the left hand side, removed and relocated a new washer bottle from the right hand side and cut away the inner wheel arch to allow a full air flow from the smic's, and maybe, this air flow vents the dics's/caliper's too. :):) Al.
  6. It's a filter, after 2-3000 miles, it's changed, does not have to be a high spec or oem spec. They are basically the same, do the same job, but for less money. If you leave 'em in too long then, hey, you know...... Al.
  7. Get your filter from "partco". Approx £5 and a genuine part. Al.
  8. I have these matey, and they are a great piece for the price. Not the best, but pretty good. The only issue i had was with my front repeaters not fitting, due to the height of the ic and how close they are to the inner face of the bumper. Check my ride pics for the little mod i manufactured in place of the indicator.
  9. Would the whirring noise be the coming from the gearbox itself then? She also whines in almost every gear. Meaning my gears are pretty fooked, i think. Al.
  10. Hi people, Just a quickie, my clutch thrust bearing (i think) is whirring when not pressed down, press clutch in and it quietens a little, put her into gear and it stops. Will my clutch fail in an instant or will it get worse over time and gradually fail? Just trying to gauge as to when to get it done. Cheers all, Al.
  11. If you go for front Ferrodo DS2500, be careful where you get them. I purchased a set online, cannot remember the company, and when "jimmer" rebuilt my engine i asked him to change the pads as i hated the squeal. Turns out that the pads where standard Leyland truck pads, modified to fit my 300 calipers!!! I now run EBC yellow stuff, and they are great, cold and hot! Al.
  12. We could matey, but my missus won't get in my zed!!! Too bumpy, and too loud. LOL!! Al.
  13. Get some "toulene". It s a non abrasive, plastic friendly, stain, glue remover, and on a plus side, added to your fuel at a ratio of 10%, it will act as an octane booster!!! Check robo's info for an indepth report on "toulene". Al.
  14. IMHO I would bin the hicas and fir the lock bar. I had a nightmare when my right side hicas arm came loose and unwound from the hicas rack, so to speak. Get it gone, lock it out, and your hard cornering will be fine!! Al.
  15. Got my 300zx tt man jap series 1 for £2900 in 2004/5 and to date she owes me £28000, and sometimes i look at her on the drive and think..... what have i done, why have i spent all this money on this car!! Then, i take the ol' girl for a drive and think.....oh yes!! oh yes!! that is why i have spent this money, because she makes me feel alive again!! i love it!! Al.
  16. Sounds like a boost/vac leak to me. Have a thread search and get some info on it. I maybe wrong, but it is worth a look. Al.
