  1. Nice one mate! I called them, they knew exactly what I meant and they've got them on todays courier so I'll have them tomorrow. Cheers!
  2. I've just got a set of new (well used) wheels. I need locking wheel nuts. The front wheels have quite a long, narrow 'well' that the wheel nuts sit in. The wheel nuts provided are long and thin and have the hex on the inside. Can I get locking nuts like this? Any idea where from? Cheers! :duffer:

  4. You're right to put your kids first. Everyone with a dangerous dog says: "ohh, he's lovely, he wouldn't hurt anyone". Then they bite a babies face off.

Sounds like you know what you're doing but keep your head down out there.
  6. I'm not very clued up on all this computer stuff.... does something need a good scrub with a stiff brush and some dettol? Probably best do all the parts mentioned then dry them in the airing cupboard.
  7. 72 litres from dry. It's unusual to get more than 60 in though IIRC.
  8. The ECU remap alters the ignition timing and rev limit I think and is an easy way to gain power. I'm pretty sure one of our traders can re-map your ecu pretty easily. The underdrive pulley turns the ancilliaries slower thus reducing drag on the engine and releasing more power. I'm certainly no expert and haven't done either of these to my NA. SlickPete, SuffolkZX and JimJitsu have the most tuned NAs on the forum that I know of. Plus there's the NA tuning forum to check too.
  9. Very trick. Probably can't call them 'alloys' either! 'Plastics' maybe? lol
  10. I used to work for a magazine that did lots of testting of products like this (but for motorbikes). They did the tests fairly and often did lose advertisers as a result. They wanted to tell the truth otherwise the whole thing would have been pointless.
  11. Congratulations to all Shrimps involved :duffer:
  12. Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNab
  13. There is a small black and white set next to the wireless in the drawing room I believe.
  14. ECU remap. Underdrive pulley(s).
  15. Ouch - sorry to hear that - touch wood the damage isn't too bad.
  16. That would be loads of fun. Bet it'd torque steer a bit though!
  17. I'd guess 450bhp? Turbos, injectors, filter, chip, exhaust, radiator, clutch? I really don't know to be honest. You'll need decent brakes and suspension obviously if you're going for med/high power.
  18. For £7500 I think you could get plenty more than that.
  19. I remember walking into the toilet at a work party - boss was sitting passed out on the bog with his pants round his ankles - filled with his sick! The cubilce was covered in vomit.
  20. 0-60 (approx) tt 5.5 secs na 6.9 secs People may argue though... You can get an auto changed to mnual for £1200-£1500 all in - or do it yourself and the parts will cost about £700 (est).
  21. 220-230bhp for the NA 280bhp for the TT.
  22. Legrath ( ) said he thought the TT could do better MPG on the motorway due to its gearing. I think you can only get 30mpg if you take it real easy - otherwise yes, it will be mid 20s and less round town / on twisty roads.
