  1. hmmm the power is quite raw in those m3's and the throttle response is very quick. mid range and rolling start my zed could keep up and pass an m3 e36 and e46 but from stand still in an auto? no chance, a manual would be close the new v8 one is a very quick machine and my zed would not keep up. the new TT's are quite fast aswell, certainly felt quicker than many of the stock zeds iv been in but i think that is just down to the lightness of the car.
  2. you a trader of some sort? thats alot of cars

alfa romeo pearl white looks very nice, esp in sunlight. better than the other pearl whites iv seen. id still keep the top half of your car black. with perhaps a light smoke tint to go on the window. http://www.dieselstation.com/wallpapers/Alfa-Romeo-147-GTA/Alfa-Romeo-147-GTA-008.jpg
  4. have you checked your MAF sensor? or if there is any air leaks between the gasket and the air filter? mine would loose power and sometimes cut power altogether when revved because the MAf was not tight enough
  5. we used to have one of these in the fam. had many electrical problems and many of them do but mechanically was sound so if urs is running sweet id keep it and run it into the ground as the engines just keep on going and going. im surprised yours is rusting at its age as i did not spot any signs of rust on ours what variant is yours? ours was a E240 and that felt quite quick for a big car. if your willing to travel to london i know of a very good garage that could do that work for under 2k professionally as they worked on ours over the years and the quality is very very good.
  6. 8 and a half we could be here for ages.......
  7. ok but how old are you guys? because i tried a few classic insurance companies and got ridiculous qoutes more than double what i pay. at the moment i pay about 649 a year at the moment my car is a second car and is garaged at night etc etc but i aint finding good classic car qoutes
  8. the good thing with the e46 m3 is that even ones that have taken a beating, they are still typicality fine mechanically as they were designed to be robust enough to take and drive hard on a track and still ride home confidently knowing that nothing is over heating, or breaking. the e36 m3 on the otherhand well...... there are so many dogs around and finding a good one can be very hard as altho they are very strong cars too many owners at some point of the cars life have not bothered to do maintanance at the correct intervals like valve shims etc
  9. had quite a few but some were bought to sell on first car 12 years ago: mk2 Golf GTI 16v...i loved that car even tho it had no reverse at the time Citroen XM: that car was pimp on the inside, full leather, electric seats and everything E34 BMW 525i (bout 11 years ago) E36 M3 saloon Pug 306 GTI (needed to save some money at the time) BMW ALPINA B2.5 300ZX n/a had both of the above for a while until the zed was stolen, and the alpina stolen and written off 8 month later, i was pissed to say the least Lupo 1.4 06 megane cabriolet (lots of bespoke custom bits on it) 1991 300ZX twin turbo auto (sold) 1994 300ZX Twin turbo manual there a few others but not really had them for longer than a few months anyways
  10. first Zed : black 1992 n/a manual bout 6 years ago (4k) stolen Second: Silver 1991 TT auto bout 6 months ago (1k) spent £400 Third (current) Red 1994 TT manual (£850) so far spent around 1.2k on upgrades and repairs and prob another 4-5k next couple months on the other bits iv got planned for it Very nice car so far, i dont think il be selling this one.
  11. very nice cars with very smooth engines. on a car of that age i would check out the rear sub-frames for any cracks as some of the older ones (mainly 1999 328ci, and the older e46 coupes) may have had some issues with that
  12. very very nice i always come across this image when searching for zed stuffs. i was looking for a set of BBS wheels in staggered fitment like that aswell
  13. maybe im missing something but what brand/type of engine flush was u referring to?
  14. i would most def go for an E46 M3 if i kept my Zed aswell. I all honesty they handle and drive alot better than many of the Zeds iv been including mine with usable power all of the time and after getting used to i can see why they set a bench mark for other performance cars. Its great to be able to drive it hard on track and drive docile home after without something breaking. what happened to ur friends salvage one he was gonna sell to you? bare in mind aswell with a salvage M3 parts are can be very expensive much more than if u was to be repairing an 330ci for example. for example the slam panel/bar on the inside for the front bumper is carbon fibre and alone is over 200. Bi-xenon headlights around 1k (altho you can still fit the lower spec e46 normal lights but u wouldnt want to)
  15. personally i think the quality of the work looks well done and is a damn site better looking than some of the zed iv seen with poorly fitted bodykit and dodgy offset wheels
  16. i see funny enough i was looking to buy that exact Zed you bought. but the cost was just abit to much for me to put right it looked decent in the sale pics. Id like to see how you get on with that.
  17. True that Si i stopped taking top gear seriously a while ago. The comments made by Clarkson and hammond total contradicts what they said about the car the last time and in other articals im sure they were just hightlighting the fact the Zeds can be had from that price of 1500 aswell. @Baz but im sure by the time you would have sorted the turbo out that £800 car will be around £2000+ total with all the cost etc?
  18. no way that ZX is 1500 For a Twin turbo manual, with those wheels etc?
  19. sounds good, cant wait i know you mentioned supply depends on getting some good uk dealers but how long would it take for the finished article of the front bumper? very nice work on the rear diffuser. If you could get some good distribution etc im sure many here would love to buy your products. I recall you mentioning that you weren't impressed with a 'particular' uk dealer that copied your design after supplying to them but i think anytime a panel or part is purchased the possibility is always there, Think of it as a CD. No matter how many precautions you take someone can always make a copy but im sure your work speaks for itself amongst the 'copies' etc. Hope to buy one from you guys real soon great work
  20. very nice!!! they look mahoosive
  21. that police station quite near from me. If that story is true i would assume that it would be the west london met station that would have highlighted and dealt with case as the crime happened within their facinity and not plumstead? Unless the woman lives in plumstead
  22. im just teasing, i dont mean to be orrible...but you started it:tongue: lets sing kumbaya and play nice. :nana2: so we can all be rolling on some lovely rota wheels
  23. dont be so stupid. I know this already and thats quite obvious. but clearly you made a post earlier stating that you will look into the registration and you even mentioned yourself that you have been slow in doing so so hurry up and get the ball rollin :D
  24. whats taking Znut so long?
  25. red and black wheels :wack:? Time attack style wheels can look very good especially on a matt black car as it keeping with the ethos I dont think it would work as well on that shade of silver tho. Id say all gloss black would look nicer. and as said before It be great to have a wheel trader on here aswell.
