  1. i hear ya but i still want to see what it looks like, my car seems to sit very low and im not sure if it because the suspension is tired or it has uprated springs (i doubt it) iv seen a zed with 18s on standard suspension which didnt seem to bad tho
  2. lol that doesnt quite look like a Zed, im sure those are just slightly larger than 19s :smartass:
  3. Does anyone have any pics of a Zed on 19s with standard ride hight? finally got some 19s but dont want to waste time fitting without lowered suspension if its going to look like an off-roader
  4. might be good to look at trade insurance
  5. In case you didnt know ebay own gumtree aswell .....they kept that one quiet
  6. she prob cut in too close to the lorry, so its most likely her fault, if she had given enough room to maneuver in front of the truck that wouldnt have happened apparently those trucks have so much torque that adding an extra ton to the load would hardly make any difference in resistance to even notice iv been told
  7. I dont really like to endorse any service just because some companies can slip standards from time to time but Darren is really good at what he does and certainly knows his stuff. When i had my car there, his attention to detail is second to non as far as trouble shooting and carrying out the correct repairs and mods. Not many garages on that level around anymore and bare in mind he has worked on them since the launch of them over 20 years ago.
  8. yep thats right "time Attack" style wheels actually carries a certain heritage and history from the jap racing scene, before all the saxo, corsa crews started band wagoning on the style i would only tend to see "time attack style wheels on a very seriously tuned car.
  9. that has the be one of the stupidest things you could waste money and time doing, now the owner has probably ended up with a much heavier car thats now slower and doesn't have the added benefit of 4 seats like a real mustang. Could have just bought a tuned Roush Mustang and had change left over
  10. well as i expected, this project dont seem to be going nowhere and it just seems all done by a couple of dreamers to me.(just reminds of of companies showing photoshopped bodykits that dont exist yet) I hope they can just get there ass in gear and sell at least 'one' of their designs/products
  11. is the EGR actually useful for anything? there seems to be alot of owners that have removed it.
  12. nah im in south east london. That lupo is insane, i never got a chance to be in it running tho. Im still into the DUB scene (edition38 guys) some of the mods they having running on their cars are just pure madness I got the front bumper off one guy from the driftworks forum, the bumper itself is an old re-worked prototype i believe of the viper bumper that the zcentre now sells. car going for some major body work/smoothing so when that sorted il bring it to a meet at some point
  13. iv seen one dude with two 400bhp 1.8T engines transplanted into a VW Lupo
  14. who did you get to make your prop?
  15. I have at at the moment a pioneer avic-X1BT and had the X1R model before that and a kenwood DVD unit before. Very good quality units. dont be deceived or lured by the the ripspeed/chinese models. They do alot for the money but they are to be honest quite sh*t in comparison to proper flip-out DVD/satnav units and they are a far cry from giving pioneer etc a run for its money. Alot of the ripspeed units about for example are refurbed units and they are plenty on the second hand market as they do not last long or have intermittent problems. Tried to tell a friend this whom insisted on one and ended up binning it a few months later for a 'decent' unit The sound quality is also quite poor and harsh. But if you are going to get one of the more expensive units such as the pioneer ones avoid the X1 or a used X1 unit. Most of the ones on ebay for instance are prob coming up to the end-of-use for certain parts such as the laser pick up mechanism and is very costly to replace as i found out some years back with my old one. The kenwood models have real decent picture quality for DVD and of course Alpine for sound quality.
  16. k i must say with low profile tyres i.e 20" + wheels its not 'that' impressive but with the big soft high profile tyres its quite alright altho it cant really be compared to the Range rover vouge traction tho @ Legrath. As far as the torque transfer sytems goes. Those skyline boys must be loving it. Might be a silly thought but i wonder if the 4WD system out of the GTR can be fabricated or retro fitted to the Zed since some of the R32 running gear i.e suspension can fitted to a zed.
  17. another thing i find interesting is that altho big 4x4 have wide tires and weight excess of 2 tons cars like the X5 and range rover vogue seem to be very good in the snow, apart from the 4 wheel drive there must be some other things involved in getting a car to grip better
  18. fun? hmm maybe i should stop worrying. seems like im missing a trick here, i tend to find my zed controllable in the wet but the back end lets go far too easy. and in the ice I just dont want the front end darting up towards a kerb
  19. Just wondered who is still using there Zed in the snow? im to sceptical to even try as my other older RWD cars have always been a handful in it, and im getting wheel spin in 3th from a standstill in my other FWD car. Id dread to think what it would be like in a zed so that brings me to my next question. Apart from good quality tyres are there any handling mods that can give the zed superior grip in rain/snow etc? I been using playing with a little 1 series BM for a while and the handling and grip for such a basic car seems to be far better than my zed.
  20. thanks guys. those suggestions have been really helpful
  21. yeah i used them before, but as the furniture im trying to get is an awkward 3 piece table they cant deliver for a reasonable price.
  22. hi does anyone know of any very cheap furniture couriers that can pickup and deliver? any suggestions will be appreciated
  23. thats BS. There are are other production cars that sit even lower. (i.e lambo etc) Id like to see what excuse they will use for that. As long as you aint hitting the bump stops or fouling the arches with enough clearance they cant fail it on that.
  24. that car is immaculate in the flesh. cant believe he got that conversion done so fast and neatly, very impressive nice meeting you guys yesterday
  25. :hurl: horrible looking stuff but im pretty sure thats been photoshopped.
