If its a motorway bruiser how bout a Merc CL55 AMG? best all rounder has to be the bmw M3 vert the handling on the limit is better than zed in fact overall (even if the zed has uprated suspension mods) performance is pretty much the same stock v stock if just abit more raw dont listen to anyone telling other, drive one for yourself at length and decide on that. TVR Tuscan is a stinkingly fast car, great car if you can live with the build quality

it was actually more than 207 million dollars (a 22 million stack is not as large as the ones in those pics) i reckon the real amount was over 400 before the Mexican police "miscounted" the amount

hmmm some interesting stuff. well every once in a while i see a unique zed for sale that id like to have as a second but with so many other performance and interesting cars to chose from id still prefer an alternative driving experience like some of the new high performance diesels i.e BMW 535D / 335D as the torque is immense and nothing like iv felt. the only other reason id buy another zed would prob be to restore it.

Just wondered after looking at the average zed owner tread, It seems that quite and few of you guys own more than one Zed. Now i understand 1 might be for parts or a donor but why do some of you own 3-4 Zeds? and some of which seems the same spec i.e 3 N/As etc. i dont get it. and as for the donor thing surely its more convenient to just buy the part needed as the spare car your breaking is never likely to have all bits working anyways? share your views

i was thinking of putting some DRL on mine as my LED sidelight bulbs have gone. but i really hate the look of all the chavy fake blue disco looking ones i see on many cars. The audi ones are nice IMO and the new merc ones look cool but i cant really find any that complements the look of the zed

an MR2 and prelude is a long way from being sleek compared to a merc coupe (CL,SL, etc) infact all the cars you mentioned bar the corvette are not that sleek compared to today's standards and the just GTO looks like a boat and with all the gaping shut lines altho i can agree on the BMs. they look good but are not that slender. but despite that i dont think cars need to be low slung and look like a sports car to be sleek or aerodynamic

that was more of a problem on the 328ci 323ci (earliest e46 range) since 2001 most have been recalled to have that sorted i really do love those M3's that is prob my fav combination, Black, hardtop, etc

12 years is quite while. hypothetically speaking if the car was on say a G plate the car couldnt have been more than 7 years old when you put it into storage. Whats the story behind your Zed? ...must have pretty low miles too. pics?

i used to buy cars from copart when they were called universal salvage a few years ago but ever since the american company merged, all there cars are stupidly over priced and internet bids only

alpinas are great. i used to have a B2.5 Alpina bout 8 years back. deffo one of my fav cars iv owned. stellaZ that M3 is a bargin. what salvage yard did you go to get that? i was really looking for one like that hardtop etc. but even salvage prices have been steep lately.

dont forget the merc has a 5.5L AMG engine with alot of touque and big wide rear tyres in a tiny slk thats bound to launch very fast

i really wanted this kit but those guys are just too expensive. iv contacted him a few times but he refuses to sell any panels separately and insist on you buying the full kit. its been on ebay up at $3500

if you have 20mm spacers on the front with wheel offset of 38 you will be fine. Im running 8.5x19 rims (ET35) upfront with 30mm spacers and it ok. altho i am getting some rubbing because the front tyres are way to wide at 255 / 35 /19 also you will be better off having 235 width tyres on the front just to give them a little stretch you can get these converters off ebay. but it is harder to find converters that are 5x114.3 to 5x100 as most are 5x100 to 5x114.3
