  1. Here's a couple of previous threads that the seller of that car started :) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=106998 http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=107117
  2. If i wanted a 99-spec i would just buy a normal one for buttons and change the bumper, lights, spoiler and hey ho - a 99-spec for peanuts :D  Don't get me wrong i like the look of the 99-spec, but i certainly would'nt pay roughly three times the price of an earlier one. ;)
  3. That is correct :) Its quite weird at first but you get used to it :D Like i said though i would'nt personally go to the trouble of fitting one.
  4. So am i right in saying that diving off boost and leaving it standing for a couple of minutes are both good ways of doing the job but driving off boost is a quicker more efficient way of doing it???
  5. I was always told that the point of a turbo timer is to let the turbos 'spool' down not 'cool' down as they do not have an oil supply of their own and they use the engine oil, so if you stop the engine while the turbo are still working you are starving them of oil. Could be wrong but thats what i was told. :) So based on that a turbo timer does the job its suppoesed to do. Like i said thats what i was told, i ain't no mechanic
  6. TBH they all piss me off, the only guy i can stand even a bit is the guy who knows his second hand cars (he was at the Geneva show). The rest of them wind me up like mad   I like all the Top Gear presenters though. :)
  7. I did'nt think 5th gear was so bad this week, but that may be because i only had it on in the background  That fookin scooby is an ugly b4stard though!
  8. If thats the case, why do they make turbo timers?
  9. Cos i like driving full on :D  Seriously though, i did'nt know that, i was 18. How was i supposed to know if no-one told me, the only thing i was told was to leave it for a couple of minutes to let the turbos spool down, so i did :)
  10. TBH i can see the point in them, but i would'nt go to the trouble of fitting one, mine already had one :) I had a Volvo T5 and that did'nt have one, i just left it running for a couple of minutes when i had finished my journey and never used the turbo while it was still cold from start up.
  11. You'll get a bumper for peanuts :)
  12. I think you should keep it bud, but it all depends how pissed off you are with it :(
  13. Gotta be honest, trading standards do fook all!
  14. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=107348 ;)
  15. Fantastic to hear, nice one :D:D:D
  16. I 'THINK' it holds 15.8 gallons, if thats of any help to you :)
  17. Maybe he did'nt use a grinder, maybe he is suggesting he has had to cut the door card etc... and he is calling that 'grinding'. :) Who knows - only him
  18. I'm guessing he is fitting 6x9's or something thats why grinding is mentioned.
  19. Happened to me, it is defineately a fuse in the drivers foot well :)
  20. I have a Blitz SUS, i've never had this problem. :)
  21. Yeah should be the same. Will take a lot of cleaning though.
