Green one in Aylesbury?
Hi Richard Guilty as Charged. Parked in Sainsbury's on Saturday morning. Wheels are dark chrome, not bright bling. It's a 95 Jap spec tt import 'M' reg. Probably one of the last with all the goodies, Electronic Climate control, thick carpets, etc had it nearly 6 months and very pleased with it. I like the original looks and I'll be keeping those but plent to go on under the bonnet to up it circa 400 bhp Tony

Full tank mileage?
Hi and welcome.... I use my Zed to go to and fro to Aylesbury where I work. 82 miles each way.... M6, M42 Variable Speed Limit section, M40, A 41. I cruise fast, accelerate fast etc and still get about 300 miles from a full tank. You must use either Ultimate from BP or Optimax from Shell though. For a more economical drive swith the auto box to HOLD and just drive gently You could then get about 350 miles to a tank. Mind you, you can blow a third of a tank just driving round Birmingham on a Saturday in traffic !

Exemplary Service
Hi Guys and Girls Just thought I'd tell you about some exemplary service from Zedworld. Some of you will know about the water loss problems and the carry back off the M40 after the blown replacement Rad. Well Geoff ordered a new all metal rad and was told it would be here today, Well it wasn't so Geoff lent me the one from HIS Zed.... and said when mine arrives he'll call me and swap them while I wait Can't beat that for service Thanks Geoff... You're a star Tony

Zed on transporter - M42 12/9
Hi Its metallic pearlescent green... looks bluish in certain light.. Been told by Geof that he'll have an all metal Rad on Monday latest....then he can test it and check out compression etc and make sure that nothing has been damaged. It came fully serviced, Cam belt changed and with 6 months engine and auto box guarantee and I've driven it every day nearly . Needs a service and that'll be done next week Best Regards Tony

Zed on transporter - M42 12/9
Hi ZX-Eyes Yes it was mine. You may recall from previous threads I've had water leak problems. Well Geoff at Zworld found one from the pipes from the block at the front and replaced them, That then caused a problem with the expansion tank and that was fixed and then the rad started to leak from the full pressure. He put a rescued Rad on thinking it was ok and then driving back up the M40 yesterday clouds of steam like a vapour trail from the zed.... thought sh1t, am I going that fast ! Anyway pulled over, swithed off, put 8 pints of cold water in, cranked it over and killed it straight away so hopefully bnothing serious damaged because the temp guage didn't go off scale. Anyway got picked up and taken home and then the RAC delivered it to Geoff this morning. Geoff's been good as gold, don't worry under warranty and any damage we'll put right....you might just have pay a bit more for the difference between the cost of the one you had and the new all metal one. All else warranty. Superb service Car is a 1995 Jap spec TT with Rozza wheels. Last of the fuul spec'd one I think. Full deep carpets, digital air con, Late series spoiler etc I'm still trying to get to a meet. It's going into Digbeth Coachcraft for a bit of tlc... there's a couple of stone chips and door dings etc but otherwise a beautiful machine. I will get to a meet one day soon TOny

What GPS/Satnav systems do you use?
Hi Si I got a TomTom 910 with traffic and it was dead cheap from this outfit... http://www.handtec.co.uk/ Have a browse and see what you think If you don't need America you've got lots of options for something even cheaper I just did and found http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php/508/road-angel-navigator-7000 By the way, the TomTom car power supply cigarette lighter connection contains a transformer so it can't be hard wired in. Bit of a pain in the zed. Hope you get it sorted Best Regards Tony

debt advice needed
Ask a legal eagle about putting a 'Lien' (Ithink that's the right term) on his property. That's registered on Land Registry That means he can't sell it without paying you off. Also find out about putting his debt on Experian etc..... stop him ripping amyone else off

Grafham Water Sunday Sept 2nd
Hi all Very sorry we didn't make it. Got to a service station just past Rothley on the A14 to fill up. Got back to the car and there was a big puddle. Oh Sh1t! Elaine took the Affies for a walk round the perimeter for a wee and gave them a drink. HAd to put two pints of water in. Didn't think I'd better risk continuing so reluctantly left, went to the next roundabout and set off back home. Got some really weird looks from people only doing 65 ish in a zed. Got home and the poor dogs looked well p1ssed off! Taken out for the day for a walk at a petrol station ? They thought they were going for a run and a swim! Anyway sorry to miss you all..... Zed is back to Geoff first thing in the morning. We will make the next one ! Regards to all Tony

J-Spec V UK Car?
Try swithching when you're doing say 70mph on the motorway. It'll take time to change change down and up in 'Hold' if you don't floor the throttle. It'll immediately change in 'Power' mode 'Hold' may also have the functionality you've described..... I've never tried that yet ! Tony

J-Spec V UK Car?
Re the flip Switch It says Power at the top and Hold at the Bottom It's for the auto gearbox electronics. 'Hold' is keep the the car in the highest gear for the longest time in order to improve fuel economy 'Power' is the opposite it changes down quicker and sooner whenever you use the throttle In normal mode the gearbox electronics adjust to the style of driving and if driven steadily move towards the 'Hold' , but id driven hard it drifts towards 'Power' Hope that helps Tony
