They did but we haven't got anywhere to store it strip it or get the engine and gearbox out so I let them dispose of it It was auctioned last Thursday ......

Well, the wreckage of Jans 98 zed was classes as cat B and sold last Thursday. I've been scouring ebay to make I source the things people have been asking for to get in first and make sure I can get them. But Nothing. It seems to have disappeared into thin air by whoever bought it But Then, another zed is stolen of a drive..... and as someone said why steal parts if you can steal a whole car ? Knowing what damage I did to Jan's, and I've still got aches and pains from it, I hope no one is trying to get it back on the road They may be wanting to modify the one that was stolen and repaint it ......

Jan was insured with Diamond, Part of the Admiral group with me as a named driver. Only problem is as I was driving on HER policy and she didn't have protected no claims they've knocked her NCB down to 3 years

Well, Finally had a call from the Insurance today They've given us the full £6,000 it was insured for ! That was after two weeks of telling us they were having trouble valuing it ! They said There only two on Pistonheads and a few on on ebay but none with the low miles or a 98 model Version R they could base their valuation on. But as we'd got all the service history, all the records etc they agreed the full insurance value. so RESULT !

Only 3 each side lol ! Yes fogs are really good I got slagged off first time I put up a post about HIDs in foglights but they cut through fog at a low level and reflect off the white lines so they're actually better than bog standard. And with HID Headlights just give them a flash when you start off and the Ballast will hold the charge for an hour two so it will flash immediately and then be recharged from that flash I must have a look at my window switches when I get the zed back and see if there is a bulb holder there !

HIDs in main beam are what I've got on the green zed. And if you give them a quick flash when you set off it control box stores enough to be able to flash them without the srtart up pause Incidentally, I've had HIDs in the fog lights as well and they work really well When i use dipped and main it looks really good and with the fogs on as well it's astounding, Nearly as good a patch of daylight !
