  4. Just thought I'd post up a few pictures from my outing on Sunday, done about 6 days now and still loving it. So take one cheap £300 BMW and about £250 to weld diff, hydro and buckets seats and away we go!
  5. And I'm still wondering, 4 months later and guess what. Wife's car been rea ended again tonight and I'm stuck in f@@king Luton. Stuck waiting to be recovered for an hour as bumper rubbing the wheel. Not happy one bit, guy who hit exchanged details and drove off, passed her 10 minutes later, saw her on road side in the dark and didn't stop  t@sser. Finally managed to get hold of a mate to go and free up the bumper and then recovery arrived. Roll on 2015 for some luck!
  6. I still have an OE pair by my desk, we did consider doing these in silicone but depends on numbers? We could offer the option of bigger inlet ends for bigger tubs to.
  7. Can't get mine to work, tried a new switch and played about with the on-off switch on the drivers side. Ran power direct to motor and that works, any ideas? Is there any relays/fuses for this? Think it's the last thing to fix on the car and would like to do it before the MOT
  8. Don't think you can change your good shell to the bad shells identity. Do you know if the good shell was 'scrapped' by the yard you got it from with the dvla? If they told dvla it was scrapped I don't know where you stand? maybe you'll have to have it tested before you can get it on the road like kit cars and maybe end up on a Q plate?
  9. Will our luck ever change ! This week was the 1st anniversary of me becoming ill after the bodged op, well to be precise it was Monday 21st. To be fair I feel much better than I have in many years which is a good thing, sure this week would maybe sad on reflection but today is our 7th wedding anniversary and 1 year one from the emergency op as well, so at least things will be normal this year; WRONG If you ever catch someone driving in flip flops then please slap them, at 8.300am on Monday the wife calls, a woman doing the very thing has re-ended her car!! So now she is in a right state and injured as she was stationary and the woman was doing 30-40mph. The car bill is £2000 + on the womans insurance but I'm more worried about the wife who is in alot of pain and can't work or drive. All we wanted was to celebrate getting through the last 12 months....
  10. Leaving as is, what you can't see in the pic is it's matt carbon and I mean real carbon :-) The exterior theme is white/carbon only black items are the mirrors rest is carbon
  11. Yes it is, well spotted!
  12. Now I remember why I stopped posting update pictures...
  13. After 12 months delay the car is taking shape again, lots of crap to clean from the bodyshop and lots of missing little bits and bobs! But I'm happy with the way it's taking shape, liking the rear end to. The front pic looks odd but the car is white but light was fading.
  14. Need some bits as I'm putting the Z back together, would prefer from one source if possible, Door shut switch for interior light, located bottom rear corners ***located*** Both windscreen trims up the sides The 2 short roof trims behind the long t top ones 2 screws that hold the door catch to the body. Bonnet washer jet
  15. Ok, will check tomorrow
  16. We can make lines for you with banjo one end and Z fitting the other £15&vat each

  18. Well not just me after quite a long absence, but after 14 months in the bodyshop it's back! Quite frustrating it took so long but tbh the guy mothballed it while I was ill ! I'm hoping once there is mot and tax on it and I hit the roads I may just discover Zed love again...
  19. I might have a set of these, I might actually get my car back in two after the painter having it 12 months! I will try the fit on them, if all good they are for sale as brand new from the 1st batch.
  20. Bit slack on the updates sorry, but been struggling tbh. I spent another week in hospital, they wanted to see if things would free up naturally- problem is operations cause scar tissue/adhesions, so if they go in to clear the scar tissue/adhesion to free it up; you guessed it, it will cause more scar tissue/adhesions so it's catch 22! So I was starved for 5 days and then I was allowed to eat soft foods, seemed ok so they let me out last Thursday. Things went ok until Sunday when I knew something wasn't right, so spoke to the team Monday and they confirmed the symptoms sounded like slight partial blockage again, so back onto fluids only for a few days. Started a soft diet Wednesday and ok so far, the highlight was last night where I had a piece of bacon in my pasta! Rock n roll lifestyle I think not ! Thanks for the words of support on here and letting me 'vent'. I am finding it quite tough at the moment as after 8 months we still seem to be 2 steps forward and 1 back with no definitive end in sight, Kerry has struggled to; been tough on her to run the shop/day job/house/dogs and me with very little help. We are looking forward to some 'normal' time together as we can't remember that atm. And still my son won't talk to me, I send messages to him every week, even when I was rushed back in but no response, its like I don't exist and he doesn't care anymore, very hard to accept but the twisted ex has finally got her way. Anyway this week I thought f**k it and we booked a week away end of May to Tenerife, I will be there whatever!
  21. Well just to update everyone. Had a bumpy 2nd week after the op with pain problems and struggling to eat, eventually tho things seemed to settle down and I was discharged on 10th March. Been recovering at home and finally eating a reasonable amount, end of last week things were uncomfortable and there was swelling in my abdomen. But I carried on for a few days, but it didn't get better so called out the specialist nurse Wednesday to have a check, she decided that there was some pooling behind the stoma and if it hadn't settled by Friday then see the GP. Well I woke up at 1am Thursday morning in horrendous pain that wouldn't settle and just got worse so at 3am we made the decision to go to A&E as out of hours GP said it could be 3-4 hours for someone to come out. By the time we got to casualty at 3.30am I could barely walk and practically fell thro the doors, to be fair they scooped me up and got me straight into a cubicle. After some x-rays, morphine and a drip to hydrate me it seems the bowel has stuck itself to to my stomach wall causing a blockage. So I'm still in hospital now and not allowed to eat so everything can rest, they are hoping that things will free themselves up, otherwise I'm looking at my surgery :-(
  22. Depending on what it needs, most usually just need the lacquer sorting rather than the carbon, so flatting and redoing. So a bodyshop BUT a decent one who specialises in modified cars as opposed to an accident repair. Why not ask bodymech on here ?
  23. I had a look at this week as wasn't sure, figured its the classified section in the top menu next to club store.
