Bugger...i thought it would pass! It's failed on the left hicas joint so i now have 2 weeks to sort it. i'm thinking of putting an eliminator in, as it's disabled at the moment anyway. Does the eliminator totally remove all the hicas joints or just the rack? If its just the rack would i still need to get a new joint?? Thanks... Stuart.

Driving in my car the other day and i suddenly lost all brake pressure :shock: luckily i was only doing about 20mph so it wasn't to bad. just had a look and one of the pipes to the rear brakes has corroded where it goes through a white plastic clip almost directly under the drivers seat. How easy is it to replace the pipe? is it one pipe that runs the length of the car? Will a local garage have a replacement? Thanks, Stuart.

Well i've taken apart and cleaned and resoldered the components twice now and still no joy. From what i can tell its the HA17902PJ quad amplifier thats water damaged, so it looks like i'll have to buy another MAS. Thats 2 second hand and 1 new in 3 years now... I'm also going to get a blitz sus induction kit to replace the soggy apexi filter i have on now so hopefully i won't get the problem again. I was thinking if anybody was able to source a new chip i might have a go at replacing it. I've tried at my work with no joy but if anybody on this forum deals with electronic components and could help please let me know. Thanks.

I have an apexi filter on the car. I don't think the filter has ever had a splash guard on it. I also removed the undertray a few months back after i could no longer attach one to my car after constant speed bump damage! Where abouts does the splash guard go in relation to the aftermarket filter?

My car has started running really rough recently. Its fine on short distances but after 10-15 mins it starts misfiring and trying to stall. The last time it did it the car died and wouldn't restart so i disconnected the MAS to see if that would get me home (puts it into a sort of safety mode i believe) and the car started and ran, but ran rough below 2000rpm(is that normal?). I presume it is the MAS playing up or could it be something else that is ignored when i disconnect the MAS plug? Also if it is the MAS then its the second one that has gone in 3 years, the last one being a brand new one from nissan. What could be causing them to break? :headvswal Thanks...

Sometime over the last 2 weeks i've bottomed out the zed on something, most likely a speed bump which has cracked my side skirts and bent the front wing out on one side. Is there anyone in the lancashire area that can sort the front wings out? I presume they can just be straightened and its not too hard? I'm not too fussed about the side skirts as i'm running the car into the ground anyway, but the wings look stupid as there is a big gap on one side.

Just had some custom carbon fibre backboxes with removable baffles installed last week. Car was running fine from tuesday till saturday. Didn't drive it on sunday but came to go to work this morning and the car would not go into positive boost. It drove and idles fine, no hesitation or misfire, or any sign something is wrong but the needle goes from negative pressure to just sitting dead on 0bar and i get no boost. Coming home i removed the baffles and i suddenly get boost and all is well again. Am going to try it again with the baffles in tomorrow and see how it is. Is it a random problem which probably will never happen again or have i made some stupid mistake? Thanks, Stu.

Saw a nice looking zed on my way home from work near my house. It was coming onto west end road. Appologies for my car, bits of it are in the body shop! I don't think it was Jon....

Woke up this morning to find a letter from the police saying that its been 28 days since they sent me a notice to prosicute and if i don't return the document within 7 days i will face going to court. The only problem is this is the first letter i've had from them, i've never had a notice of prosicution! Any ideas on what i should do? Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks.

Same here! Mine is similar but only does it occasionally. New spark plus, ptu and all coil packs seem ok. Checked connections to the injectors and they seem ok as well.

yea sure, no problem. A bit hectic at moment starting new job but give it a week or two then everything will have calmed down. Where abouts are you at?

the small fan is to do with the climate control. You have to take it out and strip it down, give it a clean as it will be full of dirt and re-assemble. Helps to lube it up a bit as well. I then had to play around with the screw that holds the fan on by either tightening or loosening it until the noise went away. explained here

Woke up this morning to go to work and found that some f**ker has ran across my bonet! i think whoever it was was using it to get over my side gate cos i'd parked quite close to it. Why does my car have no luck? Trying to get it done up to sell and i can't even fix the original faults cos new ones keep popping up! Out of interest, how much would i get for a decent zed that just needs a 'few' things doing to it: Heater matrix needs replacing. Cracked side skirt needs sorting. Custom front bumper needs finishing. and now it needs a new bonnet!

If this is at oulton then i'll be up for this. Would like to do it before i tidy the zed up to sell it, that way any bumps or scrapes won't matter. Oulton has limited times you can race due to the area. I think it's something like 11 - 5 on a weekend. All you need is a helmet for standard track days, no roll cage or anything technical required. Also if we race the international circuit then coming out of shell oils hairpin then we could get a decent speed/gear into hizzy's.

Saw a nice looking metallic blue zed crusing around lancasters one way system yesterday. It looked and sounded very nice. I was still half cooked from the night before so didn't see any particular details.

Has anyone on here tried setting up a xbox to run through a network card on the pc to access the internet? Now i have bt broadband, I have tried setting it up automatically but it doesn't work and i have also tried setting it up manually but i am unclear as to what ip addresses, dns address and gateway addresses etc to use. On the LAN status it says it is sending packets to the xbox but not recieving anything back. So far it is connected fine, sees the xbox and is sending stuff to the xbox. i was kinda looking for someone to come to me. With the current weather my car steams up like a sauna and it's a pain to demist. Looking on the internet i belive it only takes 4 hours if you know what your doing, which i don't.
