  1. A stock turbo that doesn't smoke, to go onto the drivers side of my UK, manual car. Paypal invoice me at dannyjhunter@hotmail.com
  2. Mark, did you get my email? Cheers
  3. Well the thread got lively I've seen. Lol. I can cope with the stopping distance, I think.. It's the horrible clunk I get when I stomp the pedal at about half travel, it's as though there is something underneath the pedal. Could those symptoms be servo related? Dan
  4. I am designing my quarter window glow panels and need to match the font up as close to the rear '300ZX' font as possible, has anyone got any ideas? Thanks
  5. Sorry wrong word, I meant nipples.
  6. Cheers guys, I don't know what to think now. Tonight I have bled the abs front and rear (no air there anyway). Went for a blast up to 70 or so mph and performed an emergency stop. Straight away the pedal travelled halfway and clunked to a stop. The car slowed down and I was getting little chirps from the tyres as (I think) the abs was kicking in, I got no feed back through the pedal though. I did notice when bleeding the abs the pedal would travel all the way to the floor, and as soon as the caps are back in place and it's made a sealed system the pedal dosnt seem to travel far at all...
  7. Thanks, I dont think the ABS unit was bled, I have also read elsewhere that the brake booster can be bled?? Is there a particular procedure to bleeding the ABS unit? Thanks
  8. Thanks guys, Last year the nearside turbo was done in my garage with the engine in. This time, to change the offside one we are lifting the engine out. I have had a look on Z1Motorsport.com and they are very expensive. I have looked on ebay and found some very cheap Chinese specials. I could do with having a chat to Mark at Automodz, do you have any contact info? I am not confident enough to rebuild myself but am interested in speaking to someone who has done before.. Thanks
  9. Some of you may know I have been trying to source a good, none smoking drivers side turbo. However, does anyone have any experience with reconditioned units? Can anyone recommend someone that can rebuild stock turbos reliably? Thanks
  10. For as long as I can remember I would never trust my brakes in an emergency stop situation. Sat in the car with the engine off I can press the brake pedal a couple of times and it goes hard. Engine running, the same - although if I apply more pressure I can get the pedal to travel to the floor. Driving, the same - I can get the pedal to the floor, the car does brake quite quickly but feel there could be more if the pedal wasn't travelling to the floor so easily. Since having this problem I have changed discs and pads front and rear, changed to braided lines and swapped the master cylinder, and bled numerous times with a the help of an assistant. I am thinking possibly it could be the servo?? What else is there? Any other vehicle I drive and attempt to push the pedal to the floor the vehicle has already done an emergency stop. Cheers, Dan
  11. Does anyone have a drivers side stock turbo for my UK manual? I want a good, none smoky unit. I am also after a working brake servo for the same car. I will need the parts posting to Stoke on Trent and can pay via paypal. Thanks, Dan
  12. Didnt mean to cause a fuss. I gather the mines ecu is set up for **** Jap fuel and therefore an AFR is essential before any boost increase. TBH by the time I have paid for a rolling road session to do this I may aswell just have one hit at it properly and get the car mapped properly.
  13. Yes, ideally I need to get the car booked in with you on the rolling road asap and get it mapped. Can't see me getting the time before October now though. Cheers
  14. I understand there is no definitive answer to this question, and it all depends on engine condition, fuel, maintenance etc. My car has the mushroom air filters, a mines ecu, a FMIC and a decat exhaust, everything else is stock including injectors and turbos. The car has a boost controller on already and is currently boosting at 10psi. Is there any room to increase this? Obviously I know the higher the boost the higher the risk to everything but was wondering if anyone here with a similar setup could say they have safely ran X amount of boost for the last X amount of time without issue.. Thanks, Dan
  15. Cheers, is it ok to pinch this up whilst installed on the car?
  16. If I touch the thread coming through the top mount and push down on the car I can feel the vibration through the coilover.
  17. I already have the front pair but seems the rears are shot and need replacing. Ideally I just need the rears but a set will suffice.. Cheers, Dan
  18. Yes torqued them up, should there be rubber in between there somewhere?
  19. I have just installed some used coilovers on the z. I am now getting an horrendous clunking/knocking noise over bumps they also creak if I lean on the back of the car... Are they shot? What should or could I do? Thanks
  20. Hi, I am in touch with a couple of Perspex manufacturers that are willing to help me with making some rear quarter sunshades, I need exacting dimensions, or, if anyone has a spare (even broken) one available? Thankyou, Dan
  21. I plan to replace the Drivers side turbo this winter, to do the job the engine is coming out. What else do you recommend doing whilst the engine is out? I am thinking cambelt and removing the numerous emissions nonsense... What else? Cheers
