  1. TBH in my opinion you would be far better off with a Ford Puma, cheaper to run, cheaper parts, spares are easier to get, cheaper to insure and a lot more fun to drive
  2. I have been looking for one of these for months now, glad I waited however as I managed to drop on this SRT model from a dealer for the price of a none SRT model. Called the SRT Design it has everything the 6.1 V8 has except the engine - 3.0 MB diesel engine :-) sports suspension, big seats, mesh grill and 20" wheels plus this one has a full Chrysler history. Very happy! Hope you like
  3. Friday 23rd, approx 11am travelling in the far outside lane north on the M25, red with shiny exhausts, very nice looking car, I said oh dad car like mine there, he said oh what is that doing there? lol - think it was a short wheel base...
  4. my brakes have been very poor for a while now, stopped with engine running brake pedal will go to floor but only when the car has been driven and is warm, i assume a broken master cylinder would let my pedal go to the floor all the time?? Cheers, dan
  5. btw, is replacing the bmc on a Z a hard job?
  6. yea sounds like master cylinder to me too, i know this as I had a Vectra which stood also for a while then had same symptons as your Z, turned out to be the bmc
  7. is there an easy way to definatly rule out that it isnt the turbo seals? or if it was them would it smoke under boost? Thanks guys,
  8. ok, thanks guys, car isnt my everyday, only my toy does about 4k miles a year, we talking rings and pistons or entire rebuild? Ball park figures guys?
  9. a few months back i had a compression test done, the weakest cylinder read 70psi, my question is, is this now a tired engine? Strictlty only good for stock boost? Car smokes when idling only after a few seconds now, not all the time but can be embarresing at traffic light, btw i replaced my pcv valves already...
  10. Me and my mates were discussing what we think each others cars could do a lap of Nurburgring in, factory spec cars such as Focus ST, DC5, DC2, S2000 and of course a tt Z. I thought a list would be fairly easy to find, but cannot seem to find anything... Anyone else ever found a database of lap times with such cars?
  11. Thanks Groover! appreciated :-)
  12. I know this must get asked time and time again, but what is the engine oil capacity of a twin turbo z32? Also, I "mostly" do short drives, about 5000 miles a year? what oil do you recommend? Thanks, Dan
  13. it was on the ramps at malvern tyres, back wheels were off it, not seen it about before...
  14. I recently changed the c/l fuse as I blew it changing an interior light and ever since when I get out of the car and press my remote to lock and alarm the car, the indicators flash to show alarm is set but doors do not attempt to lock. If I then insert the key into the door lock it manually and then unlock it the fob then seems to work the c/l remotely... I am assuming it "must" be mechanical as the fob is "comunicating" with the car, just not always locking it... Any ideas what to check guys, btw when the doors do remotely lock/unlock there is no unusal sounds as though the mechansm is struggling or anything... Thanks, Dan
  15. Cheers guys, yes its a maintenance free battery, as soon as i get home I will clean connections and check the voltage
  16. thanks very much, yea i had a blown fuse
  17. My z`s battery has just lately started to let me down, well at least I am assuming it is the battery, a quick jump from another car starts it up, is there a way I can rule out a bad alternator or something that may be drainign the battery? Dont want to replace it if there is no need. Thanks guys, Dan
  18. i have no interior lights or central locking, where is this fuse box located? cheers mate
  19. Where is it located? Cheers, Dan
  20. Cheers guys, Ile get them checked asap :-D
  21. sorry forgot to say only codes it has thrown up is o2 sensors
  22. My girlfriend has a 2002 VW beetle with a 2.0 8v engine. for about the last 12 months she has complained about intermittent engine management light and poor performance. Tonight I drove it home and as I came of the motorway, stopped at the bottom of the sliproad at the lights, as i pulled off the car went very hesitant, managment light was flashing intermitently and the car sounded as though it was on 3 cylinders. It would clear soon after but under hard acceleration the problem reoccured... So far the car has had two new o2 sensors and a new cat. Any ideas whats wrong with it guys? Thanks, Dan
  23. i melted a piston on 15 psi, standard internals, full stainless decat system, mushroom filters and mines ecu... Be careful buddy!
