I cannae make it. Need to save all me pennies the now to get my zed fixed! :(
  2. i like the fact that the pictures of the engine bay show it as a left hooker.......but the drivers seat is on the right!!! F**NY!!!!
  3. Knackered passenger turbo bud. :mac1: It's hopefully going back to jimmer asap and the turbo being replaced once he's confirmed it is defo the turbo!
  4. You might be easier just unbolting both throttle bodies and the link in between them. Then split them further if needs be. If you try and refit a throttle body in place, it could become fiddly with the springs and such......could become a bit of a PITA if you drop something!
  5. Yeha it was just one way! And, in your auld age (:p), your eye-sight isnt failing you. I went round to spectate at the tug-of-war competition, since nobody else from our stand wanted to compete. I was standing watching with a few of my fellow scots-people and i was approached to pull for a stand full of people from Glasgow. So i said, Why not? I pulled the first leg in my flip flops.......completely forgetting what was on my feet until the pull had started. Did the second pull in my bare feet!!! I think if im gonna do it next year.........IM WEARING MY RUGBY BOOTS!!!!!!!!!! :hyper::hyper:
  6. Woohooooo, its slightly closer than the 400mile drive i had for this one!!! I think John Fuggles was looking at somewhere over in the northwest somewhere. Which means, either way, we still wont get an appearance from StellaZ!!!! :p
  7. What if he wants to flip in the mirrors whilst the car is running? to fit through a tight space or something?

Im ok with a camera, but i doubt i'll be there. Im not wanting to go anywhere with the zed until i find out if the turbo is knackered of not! I was seriously looking forward to going to the Joint meet but now im not so sure!
  9. Thats what i was worried about. But i can hear something grinding after i switch the engine off. Yeah, i got them just before chrismas. Not happy if it is. They have only done about 6000 miles. Gonna have to look out the paper work an check what the terms of the warrenty are. Beit.....12 months or a limited mileage.
  10. Well, i've been out and had a look. Ive checked all the hoses......none of them were loose. I went out for a quick spin, warmed it up and tried to get into boost......NOTHING. No positive pressure and there is a grinding noise coming from where the passenger side turbo sits. Totally gutted!
  11. Congrats bud
  12. Whichever one is standard! An aftermarket on is still on my "Shopping List"!!!
  13. Adter such an immense weekend, my heart has litterally sank when i got home tonight! I got to Berwick-Upon-Tweed (30 miles from home) and my zed wouldnt boost past 0.1bar!!!!! Ok, so i thought to myself "It'll be a boost leak. I'll drive home, taking it easy and fix it in the morning." UNTIL I GOT HOME!!!! So, having taken it easy for the past 30 minutes (no +ve boost because of the "boost leak") i got home and turned the engine off. Then i heard something rattling and coming to a halt, My mate Dean, who was down at JAE with me, is a mechanic for nissan but he thinks that it sounds too "tinny" to be a knackered turbo. So anyway, my question is......... What keeps spinning once the engine has been turned off?
  14. Congrats steve. Kept telling ya you had it in the bag ;) To be fair, the competition was fierce (Micra K10 rings a bell!!!) so well done steve!
  15. i just got home aswell, but i went the CORRECT way up the A120!!! I think the same as kim, location was good, atmosphere was great and the quality of some of the cars was outstanding! Thanks for all your hard work in planning this Kim, and lets hope your plots make next years show ever more enjoyable than this years!

I think we're leaving from dunbar around noon (a few of my friends are bringing their cars too......an ek9, n15 almera and a dc2 integra) but i can see if they feel like leaving a wee bit earlier. Were you thinking of leaving from Catterick around midday or from your house?
