The MAF is the Air Flow Meter which tells the ECU how much air it's receiving. I think it is possible to dry them out but also very easy to damage irrepairably!

I was going to organise to get one from KIM but i'll need to see if it can be sent up as i cant go down to get it anymore.

I was speaking to sandy the other day about maybe getting a stand together for this show. This is the new name for Scottish Modified. It takes place on Sunday the 17th of July at the royal highland show centre at ingliston. I've emailed the organisers about ticket prices and how to go about booking a stand. Anyone interested? I did think of that. The food at knockhill is extortionate so i was going to offer to go to tesco / asda and bring along food and drink. Then refund whats left? It's not my money to decide what we do with it but i have no problems with bringing along something for breakfast / lunch / munch. Whatever you guys want to do.

Do these come as a straight plug and play fitment or do they need wiring to fit onto the cars connectors?

Ok folks......got a developement on this. Sandy, and his never ending bargain hunting, contacted Knockhill yesterday after spotting that they were only asking for £13 for general admission to this event, whereas Modified Live were advertising £17 or £22 on the day. Knockhill reassured him that: a] There is NO minimum numbers of cars required. b] The cost for Driver and Car is £10 c] The cost for passengers is £13. I've received the stand booking form from Knockhill. They have requested that they have it returned to them by the 1st of May but since we've all committed and paid (except for BAZZ) i'll get the form filled in as soon as bazz can let us know if he can make it. To help me with filling in the form, could you please post up with your Real name and surname. I'm going to have to speak to AndyP about how we can go about getting the refunds sorted out. Could either get the refund sent to me and i'll hand it out at the event or could see if andy could refund each person through Paypal. Thoughts please.

Nope, ive not got any issues. Where i live, we have the ones that look like blobs of tarmac, randomly dropped onto the road. I drive over them with a wheel on each bump and the clearances are fine. Edit: mine aint standard ride height either.

John, did you ever get anywhere with this? also wondering, would it be something that would be able to be added as an after-thought or would it need to be installed when the ECU is fitted? (assuming that its available)

Yeah del, we've got 7 so far. Still waiting to hear from BAZZ if he's coming. As soon as i find out from BAZZ and get the payment from zhoodyx tomorrow, i'll get the payment details from Nicola and get the cheque sent over to Modified Live.

It would make it easier if you could sell your ticket to your mate. That way, we'll get all the car passes and tickets at the same time.

Thats us up to 9 tickets paid for chaps. If we can get payment in from one more person, we can get our stand booked! I'll try and use my charm with nicola about getting a car pass for zhoodyx but im sure she said that the rules are you need to buy a ticket to get the car pass. Mark, did you send payment in for your passenger aswell?

It'll probably be later on the summer. Maybe August / september time. Mine's coming on the road at the end of the month, but she's going to get painted at the end of april hopefully.

Ive never really thought about how auto's would behave on rollers. I've heard that Dastek in Dalgety Bay has recently been bought over and all they do is tell you whats wrong then tell you that their "Unichip" is the way to sort it. Im sure Bird from Sunderland was recently at Hypertech and helped him to diagnose a few problems.

Yes, I got mine rollered at Extreme Motorsport in whitburn. Was a pretty good set up but I think john will only do a rolling road day with a set minimum number.
