IIRC the vehicle does have to be taxed on the original plate for them to transfer it, but dont quote me on that. its not a problem anyway as you dont loose out in any way. yes, i purchased them as a pair online.

ed, its very easy. i purchased 2 plates just before christmas for a freind i works with. you purchase the plate, normally takes 3-5 days for the paperworks to come through. take your logbook, MOT, insurance, photocopy of your taxdisc, plus your paperwork to your local DVLA, and they do the rest in about 30min max. all you have to do then is inform your insurance and replace the plates. thats it. :hyper:

ive not personally looked at the alternator on a zed, but on other nissans theres a plug with 2 or 3 wires that plugs into the alternator, just unplug it and see if the lights are still on. if not, then the alternator is faulty. if the lights are still on then the ignition switch needs checking. i can pop over and find out what the problem is if needed. just let me know si.

sounds like a diode has gone in the alternator, or the ignition switch is faulty. they are the 2 most common.

i will have to see what my mate can do. he can get toyo 295x30x22 tyres for £120 each, which is around £70 cheaper than online. i will find out some prices shortly on what he can get. plus, camskill dont do 315x30x18s :confused:

umm. funny you should mention that. i had 2 bridgestone runflats on the rear of mine. got a puncture in one of them, i thought it would be fine to drive about half a mile as they supposed to be runflats. now the tyre is fooked, in other words they dont do what they supposed to do. i WONT be buying anymore £150 each bridgestone runflats. so now what you got to say ?

at the end of the day its down to personal preference. some swear by toyo, some, bridgestone, some other brands. so who is right and who is wrong ??? just because someone dont like one brand, that does not mean to say there no good does it !!!!!.

you get what you can afford at the time. if it was a track car, then yes, you need the best, but this is a road car with 70mph speed limits. regardless of what tyres you have on the car, you dont go slinging it round corners waiting for an accident to happen. drive sensible so it dont matter what tyres you have on. :cool:

you have purchased the property as youve seen it, with no manhole cover, so its their fook up, why should you have to suffer for it ?. i would tell them no and seek legal advice. NOBODY can legally just come on your property and start digging without permission, end of.
