  4. will give them a bell, chesterfield is on 10 min from me anyway. ;)
  5. thanks andyp & znut. i have a freind who owns an engineering company. if i asked him, he could make me some adaptor plates for the calipers so i wont have to cut the lugs off. these could also be made to allow for any offset and disc diameter issues. i pm`d smithy last week about this and awaiting a reply from him
  6. had a word with andyp, hes only got standard 350z discs.
  7. thanks saz. have already spoke to them as well but wants to see them first. they seem confident they can do them but have one very small minor detail thats stopping them, NO ELECTRICITY for possibly another week
  8. thanks si, tried spitnpolish as well and got an instant no-no as soon as i said 3 piece. lol
  9. as some of you will know, i have aquired a full set of 350z brembo calipers. now what i need to know is, which discs will go with them. am i better off buying 350z discs, or can i go for 330mm r33/300zx discs like these on here http://www.db-power.co.uk/index.php?cPath=128_153_253_424_425 without much of a fitment problem, or will the offset on them be different to the 350z standard discs. im at a loss what to go with here so need some assistance, or links to websites where i can buy the ones that are suitable. this is hard work
  10. yeah, same as mine. when it comes to cat1`s, they are not the easiest to transfer from one car to another, reason being, theres quite a few black wires which when new are colour coded, these are cut off as its being fitted so you end up with a bunch all the same colour and no identification. on removal these have to be tagged 100% as to where they go. one wrong tag and its bye bye alarm. hope this helps.
  11. right. just had a reply from mark, the guy si mentioned. its a no go im afraid, says the rears are too wide for him to work on. shame. :(
  12. is it a cat 1 alarm ?
  13. yeah. seen these, but how good are they ?
  14. thats good news mate, glad you sorted it. there was a way round it anyway so no need to have binned it :)
  15. and if its got a brake light in it, its i think £95 + vat from the zcentre :(
  16. yeah, i can bank the cheque alright, the problem i have is keeping my card and the missus seperate :(
  17. i have thought about it for the past few weeks and dont want to rush into anything. i think ive got enough on my plate at the moment to keep me going for a while, dont you :)
  18. ive rang quite a few that says the same on their websites, but as soon as you mention they are 3 piece it sends their head in a spin and bells start ringing.
  19. yeah, that would be of interest, but not seen or heard anything of them for ages
  20. a retrim will be done anyway, regardless. i already have the money to one side for the respray, retrim, wheel refurb, plus allowed a little extra for bits. thats without touching this cheque at all.
  21. yeah, £1k is a lot of money for a pair of headlights, but im only going to do the car once hopefully.
  22. take a look here http://www.alsacorp.com/products/chromefx/chromefx_prodinfo.htm
  23. from what ive read on here theres only 2 ways. either 99 spec, or as vinz has had done, chromefx sprayed.
  24. ive already got HIDs to put in it. theres a few tried spraying the inserts but apparently it never seems to last very long.
