  4. thats not what andy says :wack::tongue::rofl: or is he telling porkies.
  5. its not cheap though :( £375 without any drives :shock:
  6. oy, be careful :slap::rofl: p4`s are not old. i run a p4 3.4 chip and its very very quick:tongue:. the dual core is only any good for multi-tasking, & if not used for that, only half the processor gets used.
  7. need to know what mobo you have, as in make & model number to see what it will take.
  8. i can see all 5 as well :confused:. anyway, they look spot on dave :)
  9. all the ones ive ever seen have a dimmer switch, not an on/off switch. they have always come on when you turn the sidelights on as well. if theres only 2 wires that go to the switch your on about, then you could just join those 2 wires together, but i think its more than likely the dimmer switch which has gone faulty (bad connection inside).
  10. think she needs one of these. :rofl:
  11. a test certificate gives you 12 months of legal cover, not 11 months. you should know yourself if its dangerous to drive. what if you didnt take it in till the week before its due ? have you then been driving it for the past few months unroadworthy ?, i think not. 12 months is 12 months. whether you drive it or not is down to common sense.
  12. you can still legally drive the car for the remainder of original test certificate :). at least it gives you longer to get the bits sorted out though.
  13. yeah. i was ripped off by a fellow member not so long ago and if i ever come face to face with him, i just hope he like hospital food. luckily it was only £65 for me, but there are going to be members its cost a lot more. the guy has now been banned from the forum so he cant do it to anyone else. i really dont know why people feel the need to do this, its beyond me.
  14. jimmy. you want to swap bills mate ? :)
  15. at a guess. back in 89, that 50k would be around 22-25k.
  16. if its a very good battery then it should go to the 14v mark as soon as its started.
  17. :rofl: give him a :slap:. the bhp aint nowhere near, so the torque aint going to be either.
  18. output as in what ? volts or amperes ?. on tickover, voltage on most cars with a good battery fitted is around the 14.04volts. if its any less than 13.8 then either the battery isnt too good or the alternator is in need of a new regulator.
  19. have a good one pete :duffer::D:duffer::D:duffer:
  20. simple answer is thinners :)
  21. think james is on about the size of socket that fits them. you are on about the thread size jimmy. just to clear any confusion i hope :)
