I had a very similiar conversation with Phil (Spinksy) when he came over last saturday. You can pretty much tell some of the people on the forum that shouldnt really own this car, as Mac says....at the end of the day, it is just a piece of metal..... If you are single and earning over 20K+ then you can afford to RUN this car. If you are single, living at Mum and Dads, earning 20K+, then you can afford to RUN and MOD this car.... If you are married with kids and not earning over £30k a year, then this is the wrong car to own.... It has the potential to make a 'well off' person struggle.... All IMHO of course..... I should know, I have been through thick and thin with my money and this car. Finally, I am in a position to start some serious work on her...watch this space.... ;)

Yeah smithy does the hard pipe kit for it and Danny @ DTA can supply the apexi filters.... A good investment if your going for over 600bhp, otherwise a waste of money....

Did you swop the coil packs sarge? If so, why? Is this a routine maintenance thing? Also, I need to get hold of a new harness ASAP and connectors for my coilpacks and injectors. Any ideas? :)

Sh1t mate, I forgot about that!! lol We'll have to have a look when putting it back together! Saturday morning is when all the plenum and bits go back on, so if you want mate, I can pick you up on the way to Grantham or you can come and fetch me? I dont mind and it makes sense to only take one car! Tis so true about all the cuts and grazes you get from removing the plenum, my hands look like I have had a fight with my dog, all cut up 'n' stuff!! :) :p

Just like to say a massive THANK YOU to Phil (Spinksy) who helped me with removing my plenum yesterday. We followed Andy FAQ and lets just say, the FAQ reads easier than what it is. Now, new injectors, PCV Valves (When I find out where they go! :D ), plugs, new harness required (Most of my connectors broke, especially the injector ones, there stupidly hard to get off without snapping!!) and then a shiny new Plenum!!! My car now has no gearbox and no plenum, really horrible sight seeing it stripped down so far, its putting it back together that'll be fun! :) I'll keep u posted with developments over the next few weeks, loads of stuff going on, hopefully Phil's missus wont have him hoovering and he can get his ass over to the garage and help me! :D Thanks again mate! :bow: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:

Yaz, have you thought about renting a garage for you 300? I take it you park in on a street? There's no way mate my pride and joy will be parked on any street for some muppett to do that to it! I used to rent a garage for £25 a month through the council, bargain to protect you investment!! :) Sorry to hear this though but it happens everyday, and your right, your car in your area attracts assh0les!!! :(

Help I have spent over £2.5k in the last three months on my zed and I havent even driven it for 5 months, it still doesnt have a gearbox...yet.... :) I cant stop spending money on it, even as we speak, one half of my screen is looking at Ebay........the missus's patience is starting to run out..... :( Last year I only drove her about 1,500 miles...... Help....I'm addicted.....I thought smoking was tough to give up.... I have even had to cancel going out this saturday as I just bought a shiny plenum.....Is that sad? I'm sacrificing my social life for car parts....hang on a sec...that is fooking sad....... :cry: :confused: :headvswal :nono: :slap: I think in total, I have done under 2,500 miles in the 2 years of ownership..... :rofl: Shocking.... Rabble over, just reiterating how mad I must be on screen..... :)

Climate control system? Replace targas with carbon fibre panels?? Lighter wheels? is it auto? if so convert, save loadsa kilos!!! lighter rad? ally?

If its any consolation, you dont hear of many Engine problems on here, its normally Turbo, gearbox that kind of thing. Listen to duffers, he seems to offer some of the best advice on here..... And get used to not driving e Zed for long periods of time. I am now mate, I havent drove her for 5 months, she's been sitting in the father-in-laws garage waiting for a 5-speed box. I was just about to put my auto one back in this weekend and then last night, a 5 speed box came along! :D Stick with this site mate and you'll get through any problem. FACT.. :)
