  1. Bigger rims and space them out at the back. That car could be made to look very nice....
  2. The Water temp gauge came from Smithy but that ones fine. The oil pressure gauge came from Ebay and it came off an Type-R Integra so the oil pressure sender unit is probably still on the car...... ANy ideas? Smithy, can we get a Apexi 300zx sender unit?!?
  3. Hi Guys Smithy I think I will wire the Water temp unit into the existing loom.... As per other post, I need an oil pressure sender unit.....I diddnt get one with my apexi unit.....its an electrical unit so how does it work? I need a unit t measure the pressure and then send the result to the guage.....rather than the guage reasing the pressure? Does that make any sense at all?? :D
  4. Hi Steve Wher did you gt that oil pressure sender unit from? I need one for my apexi unit and I presume I will need the elbow the same as what you do? The link for the elbow doesnt seem to work anymore? My apexi unit diddnt come with a sender unit??
  5. All I need to wire in my water temp gauge and my oil pressure gauge. Now, the water temp gauge seems pretty straight forward but I am guessing that I am better off removing the Gauge Temp sender unit from the water pipe and plumbing this into the top rad hoe pipe that has the posssiblility of connecting a sender unit? I think I have heard that you get a better temp readin from here.... In regards to the Oil pressure unit, I havent got a scooby what that goes to? Any aides anyone? Wheresthe best place on a Zed to measure the Oil pressure? TIA :)
  6. Hiya Mark Is a good point about having more room, perhaps I'd be best to wait.....it arrives in just over a weeks time. I havent been on this TTnet site, I take it its another site alike 300zx.co.uk? And bypassing the turbos seems like a really good idea, this is a def for me I think. And the less pipes under that plenum the better.....its a jungle out there! :D Thanks for your advice....
  7. Sorry to raise this old buzzard but I have a few questions before I refit my plenum. Me and SPinsky made some blacnking plates for where the EGR tubes enter the plenum only to find that you cant really remove the EGR system with the engine in the car, as the EGR pipes that go to the manifold are a b'stard to get to. Is this right? Just checking..... Also, Whats the PRVR system? And this bypassing the TB system(Or should this be Turbo bypass? Help, confused?? ), does anyone have a diagram of what I am missing out and connecting to what? I would like to do this but I dont want to fVck it up..... Help please oh knowledgeable ones...... Plenum goes back on this weekend.... Oh, one last question, my Manual conversion kit arrives a week on wednesday, is this easier to fit with the plenum off? :duffer: :)

Yup, I upgraded a few years back from my old Tomcat, its a quick car but my 300zx bck in standard form would have wooped ass.... :) FTO.... MUUUWHHHAAAAAA!!!! BEHAVE! :D
  9. Guys Need to replace connectors on these bits but I am not sure what they are (Names), so can anyone help? Also need to change a pipe but not sure what its for, cant remember where it went to, guessing its an Air pipe....diddnt come with the PCV kit though... TA
  10. Jeez, you learn somet new everyday!! :( Glad your OK mate, sh1t that could have been bad!!
  11. OK, well I was told your theman to speak to so I'll PM you for some advice if thats ok?
  12. If your running Nismo 555's, is increasing the baselien pressure a necessity John? Or is it dependant on your chip? JWT any good?
  13. Yeah thats what the chunk miester just told me, hmmm, now wheres that MR.Dixon.... I might just block it off, apparently a penny cover the hole well... :)
  14. OK dude, so how do I get rid of that EGR sh1te? I believe you can just block it off, the pipes were a b@stard to disconnect lol, I have a welder.... :D :D :D Whats the consequences of removing EGR?
  15. Daz mate, the EGR connectors, I believe, enter the plenum about half way up either side.....they connect to a pipe that runs down to the exhausts..... I think??? Basically a metal pipe that connects to the plenum.....???????? INNit shammooo???
  16. Ahh, I knew I had another question... EGR valves? Are they valves? The ones either side of the underneath of the plenum (I presume they are the EGR valves?) I have heard of people blocking these off? Can I do this and what are the consequences? Cheers lads... :D
  17. Fitting my shiny new plenum (Thanks Paul @ Knightsbridge Motors), nismo 555cc injectors, new plugs, PVC Valve kit (Thanks Ryan), New fuel line kit (Thanks Smithy), new three pod A-pillar (thanks Mark@somewhere I cant remember lol), moving my Apexi EL2 boost guage into pod with new Apexi EL2 water temp guage (Thanks smithy) and Apexi EL2 oil pressure guage (Thanks bloke off Ebay! BARGAIN!) along with Aasco 11lb flywheel (Thanks Al (Tattooman)), adjustable upper/lower front link arms (Birthday pressie last August!).....I think thats it although I am sure theres more.....hmmm? Nope, cant remember at the mo! Ah yes, my manual conversion kit arrives later this month so we need to strip the rest of the auto bits out ready for this. Spinksy is coming over with me tomorrow and whilst we removed the plenum last week, loads of pipes split, so I am gonna need new boost pipes (Smithy, Here I come!) and some water pipes split??? Not sure whether we'll be able to replace these tomorrow but hopefully we can source them if not.... I have a couple of questions though: Injectors, I believe I am supposed to use new 'O' rings, but is this vital? The injectors arnt that old so the rings arnt that old either? Will I get away with them or is it just not worth the risk? Also, most the coilpack connectors are fooked and the injector connectors all broke whilst coming off, is there a harness I can buy that will supply all of this? I presume I will need to inform the DVLA of the change of transmission type and the color when she's goes black later this year...is it loads of hassle or dead easy?
  18. LOve to come guys but my manual kit doesnt arrive till later this month so gonnahave to give this one a miss (again!) Will hopefully be there for the next one, pending reliability ...... U know my luck :D

  21. Well I have been in exactlty the same position mate. My Autobox had done about 2000 miles since the rebuild in 18 months, and had just been serviced.... I got £350 for it! Does that answer your question? My Autobox costme over £2K with all the work I had to have done! I am changing to manual because I am pi55ed of with spending money on my Autobox.... I may well be a one off case, but the autobox case is closed! :) Manual on its way in 2 weeks...
  22. Good on ya mate, make sure you keep us posted.... :)

Just echoing, stay away from main dealers with your Z. Use the experts found here....
  24. With a spec list like that Alex, your Zed has got to be ONE of the most Modded motors on here yet I have never heard anything about it???? lol Thought about getting it on a RR? I know I'd be itching if I had got that far....
