  1. Whilst ive got it all apart thought i might just put some breather filters and a catch tank on, if its beneficial ofcourse. Do people run them on these cars or is it a bit pointless? Mark
  2. Nice, ill be sure to put u pics as i go
  3. Thanks, Nah i had a small brush and paint from when i did an airfix zed :D
  4. Well gloss red if it smooths out. That would be great
  5. Was your powdercoated as is, without flatting it down i mean?
  6. I would love to get some parts powdercoated but im a pennyless chump. Im fretting buying a can of paint :D Let me know how much it would cost though please. For the plenum and rocker covers
  7. That thread is a bit amazing. Mine wont be as shiny as all these pics though. Im not flatting that thing down. It would take me an eternity :D
  8. This is where im heading just the exact oposite
  9. Thats the exact one where my inspiration came from its lovely. I either wanted to go for black plenum with red rocker covers or black covers and red plenum
  10. Ah i cant see that im not subscribed. Pink sounds interesting though. Or purple, ive got a purple rocker cover on my daily Hmm
  11. Anyone done their plenum matt red? Ive seen a few alterations but i cant decide what colour to do mine. Ive dont the throttle cover Gloss black with the raised nissan in red and the balance bar in gloss black. The original plan was to have the cam covers and rocker covers gloss black aswell. Also would enamel paint be the best to use? Mark
  12. http://media.photobucket.com/image/vg30dett+rear+/oliverlees/Engine%20Rebuild/VG30DETT-Rear.jpg That big rusty bit. Looks like its on the lower, ill leave that for now. Think its just the sealant and last 2 bits holding it on. Guesse what, hes got my ring spanners on the van aswell
  13. I wanted to use a ratchet 10mm spanner but its on my dads van, and hes not here. Seems perfect for undoing those bolts. Ive not even got a hacksaw here, hes got that aswell :D There looks like theres 2 soleniod things on the back ive not undone either of them. I thought one would come off with the plenum and the other was on the block.
  14. Do you mean the brackets that the hardpipes are on? I got those. Must be the sealant and last 4 EGR bolts. Ill give it another go when i get that tool.
  15. What exactly is connected to the plenum. Ive removed the boost pipes up front. Hard pipe joints underneath. Injector and coil pack connectors and coil packs, a few grounds and plugs, Throttle and cruise cables, balance bar, fuel pipes, hoses next to the EGR. All thats left that i can see is the EGR pipes underneath and i need to wait for a tool to get those off. I thought i would get a bit of movement with just those 2 left but nothing, like its bolted down still (ive got the actual bolts out). Am i missing something here?
  16. How do you do the bumpers then? Fill then in with filler?
  17. Hmm, might take my time with that one then. Cheers guys
  18. Pain to get out is it. Ive not got the engine out so im already at a disadvantage
  19. Haha, nice one. Ill take lots of pictures when i do it so that ive got reference. I think the water bypass has been done but the pipes left on. Ill soon find out.
  20. Cheers, ill get on that when i do take the plenum off. Im going through Robos deletes and doing them :D
  21. Good idea, Same for the bit on the back/
