Meet
Ahh it's no problem, I didn't mind. I wish I'd taken the missus and know to do that next time. But tbh I wasn't bothered about going and only went because I was organising so I couldn't really hold it against anyone lol. Yeah sounds a good idea, I'll arrange a Christmas meal say Sunday December 2nd? How's that sound?

Meet
Just thought I'd do a little write up of the meet... Weather held out, also looks to be a good venue. About 30 seconds from the M5 junction, enourmous car park, beer garden out the front to spot cars arriving and plenty of space inside. Has some local beers as well as normal stuff. Also it's only 10 minutes drive from the gorge so would make a good location to drive out to and get an icecream. Anyway turn out wasn't great, just me, so only 1 Z in attendance and I won the free pint for longest travelled. There were no other interesting cars in the car park to look at, just this one ... I might organise one again in a months time, but this time I'll take my gf so I have someone to eat with if no one turns up again. Also might open it up to other Jap clubs to help boost numbers :)

Meet
Ok, so here's the deal Sunday 30th September, meet at the Fox and Goose Inn, 1pm onwards. This is just off junction 22 of the M5 and has a couple good Google reviews. Fox & Goose Inn Brent Knoll Somerset Hotel Pub Inn Restaurant The menu is here http://www.foxandgooseinn.com/downloads/Fox%20&%20Goose%20Menu%202012.pdf The address is Fox & Goose Inn Bristol Road Brent Knoll Nr Highbridge Somerset TA9 4HH And the map with those interested and the location is here https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=207390673607582064997.0004c8f5723864c4f3e12 The weather looks a bit naff, so lets get there first. If we fancy a drive we're not far from Cheddar Gorge and another pub at the top if I remember correctly. I'll be leaving Taunton at about 11 for a cruise up the A38 to get there, anyone want to convoy then we can meet in Sainsburys Taunton, or collect you on the way (Bridgy?). My mobile is 07939 206334.

HID wiring mod on late model 300
I started thinking that, but looking at my relay labels I'd have thought they were all necessary. Unless maybe the headlamps have been combined onto one relay or something. When the car is back I'll take the right hand pod apart see if there are any mods inside it.

HID wiring mod on late model 300
Hiya, Thanks. That's one of the guides I was looking at but (maybe wrongly) I didn't think it could be done like that because in my relay box I don't appear to have this new extra relay I'd need for it :-/ Am I getting myself confused? Cheers

HID wiring mod on late model 300
Hi all, When I bought my '98 300 it had the HID mod so both were on with main beam. This was cool for a while then started playing up over bumps, then eventually the mod stopped working. Seeing as bouncing the front end/hitting the bumper would make it work/not work I guessed a relay was playing up. I've found out just about every HID / dipped light mod guide, and they all talk about shorting one of the relays or adding another. I don't have an extra relay nor one with a short so my mod must be different??!??! I'm trying to track down the original mod in my wiring (I started thinking it could be around the switchgear or something) to make sense of it and get the original one going. As you can see I have no space for another relay and I'd like to figure out how it used to work. If anyone has any clues or can help me get started I'd appreciate it. I hate not know why it doesn't work and really don't want to put a second mod on the same wiring :) Here is my relay box Cheers

low but comfy coilovers?
Any reviews yet having fitted them?

Finally lowering my 300, woop!
Depending on how low you go you'll need adjustable tension rod arms I think, I'm just going 0.8" (Eibach springs) so think I'm ok.
-
Finally lowering my 300, woop!
How much did you lower yours by? I think I'd get away with the bit of adjustment available in the stock setup but hmmmmm

Finally lowering my 300, woop!
Cheers Dougal, looking at ARB prices I'd sooner spend the money elsewhere on the car for now until I settle into this new setup and progress it from there. Dave, yeah I like them, feel pretty solid. They're from Driftworks but look exactly like Powertrix parts to me :-) Did you do the rear arms as well?? Again I'd like to save the money for something more important but I don't want to be mid way through my setup and realise I've not go enough adjustment. Cheers

Finally lowering my 300, woop!
Nothing useful so far, only these have turned up :)

Finally lowering my 300, woop!
Hi all, Ok I had some dead bushes in my front upper wishbone, bought two replacement bushes to replace every bush in it and turns out that I actually need four... excellent. So I got angry and bought some adjustable upper arms and eibach springs I've been wanting to do this for about 5 years now so to say I'm excited is an understatement. From memory I can get enough adjustment for the camber on the rear using the stock arms. My car is currently stock suspension wise apart from KYB AGX shocks, but in the future I plan to upgrade the roll bars. Should I do that before I have it all set up? Is there anything I've forgotten? I'm expecting setting the camber and front toe to cost me about £100 so I'd sooner fit all the parts I need now rather than get it wrong and have to have it all set up again. Cheers

How to find out what offests are on wheels?
this offset stuff is pretty interesting so 8.5" front to sit flush with +32 could do with 10-15mm spacers‚ so to avoid spacers on 8.5" about +45 offset or with 9" front about +40 9.5" rears need +35? cheers

Gunmetal lwb in / around Taunton
I see a lwb in and around Taunton, saw going into Morrisons Bridgwater once then at Creech Castle lights another time. Anyone here? Mines the swb silver with the dented wing :( Cheers

Urgent help required!!
Hopefully it'll turn up! It hasn't got mixed up with Rich's stuff/car bits? I can vouch for the car, it's the silver series III manual LWB that I bought from Scrawni, the car was often known as Audrey :) Certainly the car has always been serviced properly and it was my daily before it was Adams so it's not one of the 300s that is sat around for weeks and then doesn't run properly for a few hours. No weird smoke from the turbos or anything. If you search through my posts here you'll see some of what I was up to. Before I sold it to Ad I replaced all the external trim with a full kit from ConceptZ. I spent ages fiddling about and replacing parts for NOS, lots of trim bits to bring it up to scratch. As Ad said there is a sticker to show when the cambelt was done by Z World I think. Not so much history related but we put it on my conzult on the weekend and that showed it was still happy :D And the 300zx rear light panel still works as well :) Hopefully it'll turn up mate!
