  1. I've had the engine out twice and both times left the auto box in the car! can even do it without removeing the bonnet too   ;)
  2. Dont ask RAC Autoglass! they wanted £600+ and 6 Month wait for them to import a Sap Spec rear window, got a Second hand one of a member on here for a lot less and got auto glass to fit it cost me about 60 for fitting it with new wipers all round etc.

  4. I've got a GT-4 as well as the Zed lol   :slap: But both are non-runners at the moment
  5. We tryed my PTU last time he had this problem and it was the same!
  6. Petrol will be fine! mine was off the road for a good 12 months and it started first time with that petrol, but i did change it asap just to be safe

  10. To be honest its quite an easy job (well i think it is) the hard part is removeing averything to get at it, BUT if you are not happy doing it your self then dont, as it can destroy the engine if done incorrectly! But for the other bits and bobs, if you get stuck just drop me a line and i'll help! ;) :D
  11. A BIG pair of Grips!  Well thats what i use if i cant undo it with my hands!

  14. what do you lot think to the inter-club games etc? Could be a lot of fun! heres the link
  15. Thats ok then, as i did my timming on the little black wire and it said it was out so i pluged a sparklead into the coil pack and the other end onto the plug and conn4ected the pickup to that. But if your timing is out then it must be, have you had a boost upgrade? as i think some companys retard the timimg to alow the extre boost safely.
  16. How did you check the timming? if you used the pickup link on the ptu it will give you the wrong reading!
  17. Do it yourself :) you will save a small fortune, and if you get stuck just drop me a line, i'm just down the road from Guildford
  18. i think i did'nt remove the bolt all the way, just enough to get to the other bits (i think we're talking about the same bolts) I'll try and get some pics if you want?
  19. well mines an auto, so i dont know if that helps, but i had to make a 'tool' for it as a normal spaner would not fit. What i did was grind a old cheep spaner down a bit so that it fits in between! works for me, done it twice now!
