Do i have a boost leak? I get whistling sounds as soon as the boost starts to build and it pulls a bit then loses power then pulls then loses power then pulls and keeps pulling! :confused: also i noticed blue smoke as i was backing into works carpark, is this just oil burning off dew to the rebuild (only started running the car last night (done 150km so far) ) or is it the dreded rear seals going? :confused: :cry:

Me too m8, the dipstick sits very close to one of the crank counter weights, so i'm guessing thats what caused it. I did a search and came across this on an other forum http://www.zcar.com/forums/read.php?f=3&i=122984&t=122984#reply_122984 Also a pic of whats left of my dip stick! :x:

it riped the end clean off, first time i started her up after the rebuild and it eats the dipstick lol gonna take the sump off again tomorrow and retreve the bits and find out why it did it.

as i need one as my engine has just eaten it! :confused:

Nothing much just rebuilding it after a cracked conrod! Cheers for the info, but i'm still confused :confused: :confused: :confused: so is it 0w-40 like what i have been using or 10W-40? all the data books i have looked at for diferant oils all recomend 0w-40

Right if all goes well should be starting my zed up tomorrow, but i still have to get some oil now what oil do i want, i've always used Comma Syner-Z Fully Synetic 0w-40. is it ok to stick with that? as i've never had any probs with it, and every motorfactors i hve been to have all recomended that oil! :confused:

well i have since had a reply and the cost will be...........for a batch of 24 pistons with gudgeon pins and circlips £89.86ea. You will need to get a set of rings but i belever that will not be a problem. So people what do you think?

What about forged pistons that are exaxtly the same size as stock just stronger? as he said they can be made to any specs we give them

They have yet to get me a price untill i can suply specs etc of what we want

Any one want some custom pistons made by Cosworth, the same people that make the JUN ones? As i have been in contact with themand they are willing to make pistons to any specs we want, only there is a minimum order of 24 pieces. If there is enough intrest in this and we get some specs together i can get a price for you. here is the letter i receved from them

i think the import a/c belt is not the same as a uk one
