Hi Willie O Thanks for reply I have shims for tomorrow. Yes I have the other 2 belts on the car. The one I ordered says fan belt & I ordered it for the air con ! Is it easy to do as it goes behind the alternator belt. Arthur

Hi all! I am changing front brake pads tomorrow. I think I read if doing this it is best to change the shims as well! Are they easy to get? Like tomorrow! And where from. And whilst here, is the air con belt the same as the fan belt?doh! Or do they just put that on it to lable it? Is this easy to do to. I would imagine its in the web manual can someone tell me the page please.

No not both serpi star! Immobiliser is Hamilton & Palmer? System Serial No 23006. It has a red flashing light on console above Key.

Hi all Is there an electronic wizard out there? My Z is fitted with an alarm/flashers/central locking via IR remote & my immobiliser via a key inserted to female connection. I hope this sounds ok? & no a load of bol--cks! My remote is ok. Me problem is, er? my female connector- which is on the centre console. I insert key the thing bleeps code eccepted! great! Pull up at girlfreinds, switch off. Collect girlfreind, insert key, NO BLEEP! F-in Z wont go! RAC called. He said my female connector to the immobiliser is worn & the copper wires in the connector ave add it! Well to replace everything is going to cost me £250! Ok know its not LOL but I have just put a low milage TT engine in mi car at the cost of £4K! Now it is booked in to ave this done. But because of you chaps out there is there an alternative? Do I just replace everything new? Or is some electronics wizard going to tell me I can get the female connector changed or repaired. Oh god that is long winded!!!!!!!! Arthur, sleep on it!

Hi all, Ive fitted a tail light, only I cannot get bulbs! (3) I think. My nissan dealers cannot get them! Any ideas please. Has anyone fitted fog lights? That fit Zs. Like, where to fit them(I know the front,doh!) Where the switch goes or do I fork out £180 squid nissan want to fit um. Arthur

Hi Mike, Yes it is in good condition. My old engine had a big end failure! After much talk decided replacement a good option than recon. If interested I will give andy a buzz as to cost it up for you. will give him call sunday 7.

Hi all I have now found problem No one. Big End Failure! Just had complete engine change!!! S--T Loads of dosh!! Now my old engine is up for grabs at £500 turbo's, heads and all other bits on it! 01303854410 or i evening 01303244137. Going to Brighton on the 23. See some of you there on Sunday.

Ive used Mer polish which came to me highly recommended. It is expensive not sure about cost or how it compares to autoglym. I would not use T cut! My Z in garage Monday engine out look at whats knackered. Good time at Billing some Great looking Zs!!

Hi Fas, I aint no mech! Is the leak at the back of the engine? Cos I had AA out to my Z with a leak and he was unable to see anything, turned out to be a hose at the back! probably useless info for you! Good luck. ART. one sick Z on my hands too!

Hi Aaron, thanks for the advice. Dont want a quick duff joby done on my Z! I do have a garage for the car, with no space around & no lift! My expertise is not with cars ! Have spoken to a guy called Justin at TORQUE IC in Ashford he is going to look at it for me. Sounded like a good Knowlegable chap. Get the car up to him week Monday. He says then look at the options! OK! I can live with my alarm & c/lock not working. Garage says engine sound NOT GOOD! They say not big ends more like Little Ends! S!!!, b!!!!!ks, f!!k! So any suggestions welcome about what to do next? Desperate or what! Should I scrap it? Swap it? Get a ford(no way!) get a life! or get a wife! Any one close by that would like to help! Hi ygb, Ive used garage car wash & jet wash with no probs. Just standard things like radio off, if elec antenna. Make sure the targa tops are water tight! Ive not had any parts come off. Mine is standard ZX TT. I do wash the car by hand too!! ART.
