  1. I disconnected the sensor at the connector and linked it back up again and its still the same..no reading?? Tried swapping the MAF from another Z and this seemed to change the way the car runs (smooths it out)still need to test further but it looks like this may be the culprit...does this sound likely to you?
  2. Cheers Andy, the sensor is so difficult to reach now as it rides on the back of the wastegate, but I will try to get to it and do that .I will also ask my mechanic to look over the vac hoses. Is there anything else it could be?
  3. Started the car in mode 2 and left sensor reading is fine (more than 5/per 10 sec) The r/h sensor doesn't show any led.The general check showed code55.Car is running lumpy on idle and low revs but on drive going well although not boosting much past .7.I have new Lambda sensors fitted. Any guesses as to what this could be ?Just started cleaning up coil packs etc and going to swap MAS and PTU to eliminate them .Car has had engine out ,engine in recently..........All knowledge gratefully absorbed :D
  4. Hi there, the AVIlines are no longer in use; I've got no cat ,just straight through..the AVI lines have just been chopped...No power issues exactly, when boosting appart from the Z is really lumpy right now;bit flat in lower revs
  5. Just had installed, two Power Enterprise Turbos PE1420 with approx 5000 miles usage from new and asurance from seller that they were in perfect working order when taken off the car .They do seem to work ,although hard to get the real impression as my car is on safety boost, due to /(I don't know)..However ,the drivers side turbo makes a ticking /shuttering/clicking sound..somewhat randomely on idle and accelerating, barely audible;but on backing off,a real chattering sound.............Any ventures?
  6. Cheers Vinz, that is reassuring..I thought it was going to involve further mucking about;thankfully not..Which means the Z is finished and ready to go...YEEEAAAAHHHH :D
  7. When the AIV lines are disconnected from the exZhaust is it important to bung the lines up? What would happen if they were just left open? Appreciate any advice on this as my mechanic is only waiting on this and then I can finally get my Z back! Cheers
  8. And someone did just that...Gotta be said " CHEERS SMITHY YOUR A LEGEND" :D
  9. I need two sensors in a hell of a rush....off to Nissan perhaps? I was hoping someone would say"Yes,mate;I happen to have two lying around you can have for a good price"........?
  10. Engines out and Lambda sensors cannot be removed intact (one is about to shear off)New Lambdas do not have to go back to original position as I have Dupree wastegates where they are positioned on top....BUT I need two Lambda sensors in a rush as mechanic is stuck as from now
  11. Still looking around for a diagram to help me plumb this boost controller in.....Anyone ?
  12. Hi Dave, Yes;found Power Enterprise PE1420 turbos,Dupree wastegates and testpipes.Apparently the turbos have only done 5000 miles(fingers crossed)and this with chipped ECU and the boost control should take it up to 460rwhp..ahh....Oh,I also bought an hp street clutch from Smithy and some rear shocks ..so all that remains is to put it all together . Hope this bit goes smoothly as it is getting quite expensive :D
  13. Cheers Chris,I will find the Blitz fitting diagram
  14. I've got this Power Enterprise .Power -Hybrid Boost Control and need help and advice to set it up.Diagram would be invaluable!! as all it came with was in Japanese :D
  15. Same problem as you guys.I installed satelite/detector so I know my speed and have been told the intermittent problem could be a sensor on the gearbox..Not a high priority problem for me right now as many other things to do BUT...one day!
  16. Hey,thanks for that;I will call on Monday;looks like the puck and racing pivot.Cheers Rich
  17. That sounds like a good price, thanks for the pointer
  18. In the next week or so I am having engine out ,upgrade turbos fitted along with sep wastegates, testpipes. The release bearing on my clutch is whining and I expect that I must install a new more powerful clutch.Any advice gratefully appreciated.I don't intend to drag or drift with the new setup(Honestly :D )just need this to work well to say 400bhp.Oh...and I need it to be cheap as possible
  19. Falken are cheap, grip well but don't seem to last very long...In my oppinion
  20. The spiraling air from the turbos becomes more turbulent as it enters a single exit.By splitting the exhaust gases through the divorced wastegate this has the effect of smoothing the turbulence and the turbos benifit from being able to spool up faster. So big performance advantage......(hey ;experts out there...did I get it right for a newby?)
  21. I will try to get there as long as I don't get lost... Yes ,this car refuses to go on any Dyno but i will come along and support any one who wants to blow there car up :D
  22. Hi there, silver Z in saltash rd Plymouth .I was in my red Z heading towards Cornwall on Sunday
