Check the fuses under the rear seat next to where the big black relay boxes that operate the electric windows, i think they are only green and brown fuses under there i think they are 25amp and 30amp. It should also be printed on the black removable cover what each fuse is for.

My 1996 5 series has the same problem, it keeps blowing the fuse located under the rear seat(one of the green ones), everytime i replaced it as soon as i switch on the de-mister you can hear it popping so it must be shorting out somewhere but i could never be bothered to find out why.

If its a bolt type lock then a hand drill would work, i drilled the four heads of my BMW locking nuts, once the head has come off just remove the wheel and the threaded part should just unscrew by hand.

It could be water got into the air intake//MAF, as for your fan its a viscous fan and only runs when the engine is running, unless its been converted to an electric fan.

Well my laptop has been running for over 2 hours now and according to speedfan the HDD is 38C and the other temp at 39C. Its normally reading about 78-90+Celcius and has flames showing on the display so i would say this really does make a difference.

I had a similar problem with my sisters laptop, the wireless radio was turned off, you are supposed to activate it by pressing the function key(usually on the bottom left hand side Fn and the corrosponding F1-F12 KEY normally in blue showing a pic of the wireless utility) my sisters hot keys are not working though so i had to plug an external wireless card into the laptop for the time being.

I've got an IBM Thinkpad Z60m, i contacted IBM to say that i think its overheating and they asked why do you think that and i said it gets so hot i can't sit it on my lap and they told me your not supposed to have it on your lap. I think thats why laptops are now called notebooks.
