  1. It maxed out the 531 limit at the fly at 16 psi with torque to match. It's now mapped to 20psi.
  2. Ah mate, you've warmed my heart :D. Thanks mate, I'll stick around, my membership doesn't run out until October, I've got loads of parts to sell and I'm very interested to see the progress that Gubby111 makes with it.
  3. Your fuel map is the problem. Causing fueling on overrun. This will make the pop sound, can be easily removed with a custom map. If it's only just started happening, you could try resetting the ECU to relearn, this may stop the popping, it could also be that the timing has slipped out a degree causing the problem. As for removing the silencers it's totally your call. I had silencers in mine but it was still very loud and at 2800 rpm it was a very basey drone. I personally would leave the silencers in.
  4. I had porterfields on mine (R33 calipers) they squeel like a pig. Been told that DS2500 are the top brakes you can get. Just sold the ones I had to the new owner so I guess he will be able to tell you which ones are better between the two.
  5. Welcome back mate. I'm going to see if I can last 6 months. It's only been 2 days of a zedless world for me so far and I'm already feeling like I've lost a limb.
  6. I had a standard adjustable bocsh one on mine. I guess it depends what you are running. Works fine and is adjustable up to about 60 psi (you only need to be running 42 - 45psi of fuel pressure)
  7. I would highly reccommend the JWT530bb's, however the standard Tubs are 4 bolt and these are 5 bolt. So this means you would also need to change your downpipes. I had (got to get used to past tense now  ) the jwt530's on mine and combined with downpipes, manifold, lightweight flywheel, underdrive pulley and carbon fibre prop they spool up quicker than stock turbo's. We maxed out the dyno at 16 psi (530bhp) then mapped up to 20 psi with no problems so they are good for over 500bhp with less turbo lag than a stock 300zx (with the complementing modifications).
  8. The injectors are the bottle necks. They run at max cycle at 14.5 psi with standard tubs. Welcome to the world of 300zx's. I just sold mine 2 days ago and I'm missing her already.
  9. I think John was quite surprised with the results as well. When we maxed out the dyno we had to do the rest of the mapping on the road. It was then that I giggled like a little girl when I was asked to put my foot down in 3rd at 2k rpm and hold it there until the red line. What looked to be a very long straight just seemed to disappear quickly :). we checked the spool up rate and it actually spools up quicker than a stock manual. Not sure what the name was but it was his mate dale's place. He had a supercharged land rover on the dyno before us which only hit mid 200's. He reckons the dyno was giving low bhp readings due to a faulty rpm monitor. It did cross my mind but the new owner was with me and also looked fairly excited, so I know it's gone to the right owner. Gubby111 has the sheet but it's missing about all the data between 4500rpm - 7500rpm (i.e. it's just a flat line at the top because of the dyno limit of 530bhp ). I was trying to talk gubby111 into attending the surrey rolling road to get a real idea of what it can achieve.
  10. Well today was the day I said goodbye to Silver Streak. I took the car up to see JD and picked up the new owner on the way. We tinkered, we mapped and we mapped some more then we tinkered some more (Well JD did :D). After some very nice mapping, we dyno'd the car. At 14psi we were hitting 500bhp, we continued to map and up the boost with 19psi as the safe target. Unfortunately at only 16psi the dyno maxed out before the car hitting its 530bhp limit. So the rest of the mapping had to be done on the road which was fun to say the least. The car is now mapped at 19.5 psi and I can safely say it's rapid to say the least. God only knows what BHP it's running now at 19.5psi. At 16psi the torque was well up there with the bhp. We got back to my house swapped the V5 for the cash and I watched it drive away up the street with the new owner behind the wheel. It was a sad ending to a successful day. Gubby111, I wish you all the best with her and pray for many maintenance free miles for you. Keep in touch. ;) Big thanks to John Dixon and Good luck to the new owner Stewart (Gubby111).
  11. Thanks mate I tried it last night, seems to work ok when you are in 1st person mode, but can't seem to get it to work in 3rd person view. Strange that, maybe a bug.
  12. Mig Jets ? As in 29 :) Now that would be interesting to see on a 300zx :)
  13. Picture of mine In simple terms it fits into the big hole in the middle :). It can only go in one way to fit flush. But you need to make sure you have the little metal wobble nipple (not sure of it's technical term) at the top. This will prevent any air locks in the engine as they will push out to the pipes through this. I've know someone to fit it upsidedown before, never caused any major issues but he always had a slight air bubble inside the engine and it caused it to run hotter than normal.
  14. WTF ??? Switch to Transfer Power to Front, Rear or All Wheels
  15. Yup did the same. I also save the game before I take the stones at the end of each oblivion gate. That way you can get what you get, reload if you don't like it and try again :D I'm a vampire at the moment, finding it ok even in daylight at vampirism 50 but any more than that then I make sure I feed as the sun starts to burn me a little too bad. I left myself at 100 for 3 days but then no one would talk to me in quests and everone who saw me said I looked ill. Not sure what I woudl do now without life detect and night eye. Can someone explain to me who to soul trap ?. I have a bunch of soul gems on me and I use soul trap magic and then kill the creature but nothing seems to happen. Any tips ?
  16. We'll he's not called Deve8uk on the other place :)
  17. If you can get passed the first 20 minutes of the game without getting frustrated then you’ll like it. If you can get out of the sewers then you’ll love it. It's a massive game. I've clocked up over 60 hours on it so far in total in the last 3 - 4 months and I'm not even half way through it. The end game is apparently just as good as well so it's a game that you can play continiously.
  18. Hi Harry, Hope you are well mate. All the best Stuart
  19. I'm loving Oblivion still at the moment.
  20. Welcome back Chris. I got mine back, got married, had a kid and have now sold it !
  21. That's the same one I used. I also bought the engine lift from there as well.
