managed to get a HC3 bulb from an auto parts dealer today, £1.80 each. Came home and removed the originals (great fun) and saw that they had indeed blown. Fitted the new ones, which look identical to the ones i removed, minus the blue tints and nothing. Put the old and new side by side but cant tell any differences whatsoever. Am i using the wrong type of bulb, i.e do i need a specific H3C or are they all the same. Failing any help or ideas i guess i will have to get the circuit tester on it to make sure that there is both live and earth getting to it. And thanks for the reply re the headlight mod, from reading someones earlier post it says to insert the loose connector that has just been wired to the earth into the bulb and not the connector, that is why i got slightly confused. where do you insert the spade that has been earthed into the new uk bulb?? Is there an obvious gap where the spade will fit.

cheers. Problem i have is that currently the bulbs have blown, so at present have no dipped lights, and would like to get some in asap, which is why i was hoping someone might know if there is a shop that stocks them. But thanks for the link, hopefully they do next day delivery.

Hi, I have read the forms and threads on here and have found where i can phone and get the jap 2-pin bulbs from, but i was wondering if anyone knows of any shops that actually stock them. Nissan or halfrauds or motorworld??? Any help much appreciated as driving around on main beam is really starting to piss people off. cheers

i know there is a classified section on here that sells cars, but i have been through it a million times and end up going in circles. Im after a black tt 2+2 preferably with leather. I have searched and looked through all the forums and im fed up with going through cars for sale and the situation changes 3 or 4 times during the tread. So basically anyone who thinks they can help find me or sell me a good zed then please get in touch or let me know on here. one thing i hate about forums. What is written isnt always as it would be said. What can be written in a joking way can be taken in a much more serious way than it was ever intended. Much prefer talking face to face or phone to phone, that way you can judge the others persons voice and know what they are thinking. sorry if anyone has been offended by my rudeness. hugs and kisses all round

The only reason i posted this was to try and get some information from people who know what they are talking about. i didnt ask for a row from some miserable old git. Why forums always have these people i dont know, but theyall do. Flame me all you like and tell me that im a dick but im merely speaking my mind. And once again can i thank the people who have provided me with worthwhile advice. Maybe if people didnt put stupid posts in the middle of others questions then people would read through forums more thoroughly, but with the amount of childish boring moaning that enters a lot of threads people cant be arsed to read them fully.

thanks to all the replies. i know these things have been gone over a thousand times on this site already and i did search and read, but i thought it wouldnt help to ask again incase there were any new things or anything i didnt read i should look for. Ive owned a few turbos but never an older one. Just selling my audi tt which was a turbo but newer engines seem far more reliable than the older ones, and would be gutted if i bought a dog of a car i could have avoided with some advice. Enough ranting for now so once again thanks

will check with him tomorrow to see what he has had done with the car. Im certain he mentioned the fact that the cambelt has been changed recently. It has done 109,000km but from my calculations thats less than 70,000?? I know there is a buyers guide but if you were to buy this car tomorrow what other questions would you ask?? thanks for the help

Thinking of buying a z very soon and need some help from the experts on here ;-) I have seen a 1991 black lwb twin turbo with 70,000 on the clock. The car is owned by an older man who is retiring now and wants something else. He is the only owner since import and has serviced regularly. He has no modes apart from nismo cat back exhausts, on since import. It has full leather which is bloody immaculate. All in he wants £2200. is this too much? too little? Are there certain things to check for when looking at these cars, and if i should get it are there any things you would reccomend i get immediately?? i have an apexi turbo timer/boost gauge already, but are there any essentials. Sorry for the annoying first post, and hopefully someone can help. thanks
