  1. Haha, what was too cheap?! Initially it was up for £5495 but i later dropped it to 4995, settled on 4850 on the final sale. Went to a nice chap in the north east, I do still have his number lol.
  2. Ahh my old M3 Evo, was a lovely car - probably shouldnt have sold it but the heart gets what the heart wants.
  3. If you want a uk car then they only came as tt's so no point considering an na. However there is certainly more choice with Japanese cars although these days it's hard to say which would be in better condition espeically if the jap car has been in the country a while. For what they are the 300zx is very reliable as long as it is looked after, generally speaking you get what you pay for with these cars. Remember that when new they cost 30-35k back in 1990 so that's more like 60-70 at today's values. Just because they are and worth relativly little doesn't mean they cost very little to run. What I'm trying to say is keep a reserve fund available for it! then you'll get addicted and spend every penny you have on it! Good luck in the search. :-)
  4. Yeah I know, I wish I had the money and time to do it as it would be awesome, although the land with it isnt amazing to be honest. It had the original 30's fire place and bathroom tiles. It still had the "old" style plugs, with the round pin and bakerlight fittings, amazing stuff.
  5. That is quite amazing! The period features might not be everyones taste but are certainly striking. Reminded me of a house I had an impromptue viewing on the otherday. I couldnt afford to do the work on this but this place is largely "as built" with regards to its decoration/fittings. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-31406276.html
  6. Ha! Mine is exactly the same will post a picture later when I'm at the hotel.
  7. No chance that its warped during the mould taking process at all? Was your black TT JDM as well? Mine doesnt fit amazingly to one of the wings but I do have a front mount, and the bumper had to be shaved to fit it so I think it requires a little more alteration on mine.
  8. Lol... not BMC, CMC I'll be quiet.
  9. Does your original NA have ABS? Im not sure if there is/should be a difference but TT's had ABS as standard IIRC and NA's did not.
  10. Yeah I have one of them somewhere! Great video, even my dad was replaced before.
  11. Ah shame mate, new turbos time! Bigger and better :D
  12. I liked them from seeing one on another forum, as a members car and though nice. Didnt think so much about them until I was looking to replace my BMW 323i, I had been looking at an M3 but the cost was too much and then a 540i. Infact I was about to view a 540i, and had a little spark in my mnid. I wonder what big jap coupes are in my budget... So i looked at the usual suspects, mk4 supra, 3000gt, 300zx etc weighed them all up and settled on a 300zx as it was the best looking and sounded the most reliable (!!!!) So I found one I liked, and did the worst thing test drove it and bought it without seeing any others... It was automatic, had no brakes and was actually pretty expensive (£4500 in Jan 2007) The dealer bid me in the balls for my 323i but damit I wanted that 300zx... So it was bought, and it actually did 12k miles over the next two years without giving any trouble! I upgraded the brakes and converted it to a manual and a few other bits and pieces but nothing actually went wrong! I sold it for buttons to a brother and sister in southern ireland, big mistake as it was a cracking car really - just needed a bit of tidying up. Then I had the M3 evo i had originally wanted, had that for 18 months and realised it had little soul. And here we are in my second zed, had her 10 months now.
  13. We provide Methadone Dispensing systems into pharmacys and drug clinics etc. Basically lol, I generally do the installation and training for the machines but also do the odd bit of sales demos from time to time. If anyone cares, i got out of there at 12:30 and made it home just after 6, so 5:40 on a friday night isnt too shabby!
  14. Ah dear should live in the north mate, I know of two places in Lancaster that would do it for 5 a tyre. They do ballancing for that as well lol. Took my lasses car and they said take it a run up the road to see if it was fixed before I'd paid for it lol. They wernt sure if It was just a front that had thrown a weight. That's what i call trust and service!
  15. Are absolutly great apart from one minor detail. I'm currently sat outside a potential new clients that don't want to see the product till half 11 as people are in meetings etc. Now it's a 300 mile drive home from Portsmouth. So it's going to be gone 1 before i get away annoying! Dismal Friday night traffic awaits me. The most frustrating thing is I was hear last Friday at the same time but the client cancelled and rescheduled as people hadn't turned up to see the demonstration. Me being a mug and all said oh yeah next Friday is fine. Regretting it now!
  16. 4 years ago mate. As already said in the posts above ;)
  17. I'll find out what it went for... to be honest though my thoughts when my mate was telling me about it were that its had the arse knocked out of it, Id rather have a standard GTR shell. Surely with 1000bhp through it it'll have mishapen and weakened it somewhat
  18. Ah yes. I believe a friend of mine has bought that shell to turn it back into a normal ish GTR. Although it was another chap I know that was selling it. Matts actual car now is epic. Infact i'll find the topic there is in here about it. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=141184&highlight=skyline There we go!
  19. When are you buying another one brian??! Congrats mate should be good once its all fixed up! Wont take you more than 5 minutes!
  20. Id say it was SWB looking at it as well although im struggling to tell! Such a shame **Edit** Sorry teach me to actually read the title properly! It says its SWB... been a long day
  21. Have you got standard injectors?
  22. You wernt covered when you did that, and you wouldnt be now. A policy has to be held on the "other car" for it to be driven "3rd party" on your own insurance. If that worked everyone would do it ;) You might not have been caught but should anything have happened then you would have had no insurance on the "other car" and therefore driving illegaly. You wouldnt be able to tax the car anyway as you need insurance to tax it...
  23. Garlic Mushrooms and then the most oversized burger in the world LOL.
  24. Just because the turbos were free a couple of weeks ago doesnt mean they are now. Not trying to bring you down or anything but I would have got it fully checked again. I'm sure jeff and jamie will be able to locate the source of the problem!
