Well done! Good news. Where abouts are you? There are a few meets coming up.......get yourself along!

darkened rear lights
Yes, I used to have mine darkened and I used a black tinted spray. But all colours are available. The back lights are easy to take out and if you are careful you can do a good job. The more you spray - the darker they get! Your local car shop will sell them.

no clean pull?
In that case the actual sensor could be fine but the wiring to it up the wotsit. Defo worth doing bud. When you rev it in neutral do the revs seem to dip a bit before going up? Or can you hear the little elec fan coming on at all?

no clean pull?
When you say its "been done", what has exactly? (to the temp sensor I mean)
-
no clean pull?
I will put money on this being the temp sensor. They aren't alot of money for a new sensor and harness. I would replace it anyway.

How Much Are My Standard Rear Lights Worth?
Think I sold mine for £50 squid. You're thinking of 99 specs aren't you? eh? eh? nudge, nudge.

What should you do when you think you've just written off your Z?
Let me just say one more thing. This is a post about someone I lost very close to me HERE and this thread is about someone asking advice about what to do after crashing they're car. One is nothing like the other but they can exist on the same forum. You seem to be getting the 2 a bit muddled up.

Manual ECU Test
What is it you actually want to test?

What should you do when you think you've just written off your Z?
In fact if you haven't got anything positive or productive to say, why don't you just shut up.

Mick, are you passionate about anything? Most of us are on here.......about the car we own. You don't seem to be........which makes me wonder why you are even on here? Of course there are worse things in life but as I said this is a forum for 300's.

Courtesy Nissan are in Texas and their number is 001 9722312600. I always phone through my order that way they say whether its in stock and how long till its shipped. Do yourself a favour too and join tt.net. Members get a discount or they used to. I think I am an max discount now as you seem to get more each order! If you want me to get a price to see if its any different then give me a shout.

Help Please - Cutting Out
Yep, its the same thing. PTU power transistor unit. I got mine from Courtesy and in a few days too. Alot cheaper than Nissan here. But try Mr Feeney on 01277 374201 if you are pushed for time. And do I remember Jeff having some on the shelf? And I think I remember that Nissan over here will just supply a series 1 ptu??? you want a series 2.

Cruise Control
Very nice............"oh yes, my cruise control does work."

Brembo rotors all round on eBay
With the strong pound against the dollar they should work out pretty good then. I did actually send the seller a question about shipping so will let you know what they say if you haven't already done the same.
-
Cruise Control
Buy an aftermarket steering wheel, (with no cruise control on it) then you won't have to worry that it doesn't work! You could even pretend it does. :p
-
Cruise Control
Pah! Cruise control is for Grandads anyway! You should be accelerating ALL the time. :D

Help Please - Cutting Out
We are ALWAYS kind! Sounds like it could be the PTU. Do a search on here on that and you will find loads! Or I'm convinced a dodgy temp sensor also might do this. As it tricks the ecu into thinking the car is overheating and prevents it from being started again for a while.

Brembo rotors all round on eBay
Doesn't look like you can go wrong at that price. What about shipping though as obviously they are pretty heavy!

What make of car is this

DIY Oil Change?
I wouldn't assume anything about someone I didn't know. I CAN be careful thanks, I have done every oil change on every car I've had for 15 years. This thread was about someone NEVER doing it before, so didn't think it was a very good idea to tell him to "warm up" the engine before hand.

Rolling Road - 24th January 2004
With your track record - I don't think thats such a good idea Mike!

Too many Mike's!
There seem to be a few Mike's for sure. I was a bit freaked out though when I discovered JAFFA was another JAMES MORGAN.........spooky.

DIY Oil Change?
........I wouldn't personally fancy dong this. Hot oil and hands don't mix.
