I think any difference would be pretty minimal. On my old wheels I had 275 rears and 235 fronts, I didn't notice anything sinister!

Mike, I was looking at the diy and the real 99 spec lights recently on 2 Z's next to each other. And no offense to anyone who has done the diy job - cos it really is a good way of clearing them, BUT the real 99 spec's blow them away IMHO. Alot sharper and clearer. If the cost isn't an issue, I would buy 99 spec for definate.

The less lag the better for me, so tbh I would suffer some of the power loss from the smaller tubs so that they spool up quicker. I'm not after top end or a bhp figure I can boast about in the pub either, mid range is what its all about for me. A manual conversion sounds like a good mix, for a healthy amount of torque. Another question , what about an Auto with Manwell tubs ??? I think Nissan would've chucked them in if they could've got them to work as efficient....but they spent quite a bit of time on this to get the performance equal as poss.

"Personal preference" are the 2 key words here. I can't believe this gets discussed so much. Its like the best colour thing - there is no answer, just whatever the individual prefers. Its all good fun though.

All the vacuum lines get very brittle/stiff (along with everything else) when you think how old it is and the amount of times its got hot and cooled down again. I would just replace and carry on as normal!!

I would say a must just to prolong the life of your box as much as poss, cos heat is normally always the cause of failure. I have it on my jap auto and I swear you can feel less heat coming up through the transmission now.

Emero......yeah, it will work out cheaper by the time your credit card company have done the conversion from $ into £. For example if something costs $200 -that would be about £125 with an exchange rate of say $1.6 to the £. Then, at todays rate of $1.9 to the £ -it would cost about £105. What I'm not sure of is how the credit card companys reflect the current rate? Anyone know?
